Hey fellow Canadians, you might be interested in this:
Looks like you can bring back $800 worth of stuff after Sasquatch. Although I'm sure the limits on alcohol and tobacco are still in place.

Who needs old age security or a pension when you can go to the states and get everything you need for a tenth of the price at Target.

also, they're phasing out pennies because they cost $11 million/yr to make. I guess it costs 1.5 cents to actually create a penny.

I'm going to use this news to my advantage when fundraising.
"Don't want to roll all those pennies? Donate them!"

It's not that I love it, but if I save a hundred of them I will have a dollar.

That and with state sales tax being weird amounts sometimes I don't know how you would be able to pay properly.

It's not that I love it, but if I save a hundred of them I will have a dollar. And if you put them in a sock, you have a super cheap weapon.

That and with state sales tax being weird amounts sometimes I don't know how you would be able to pay properly. Do people still take out cash and pay with cash regularly? The only time I have cash on me is if I'm headed to the bar and expecting to split a bill. Even at the bar I tend to just run a tab and avoid cash altogether.

That and with state sales tax being weird amounts sometimes I don't know how you would be able to pay properly. on cash sales the total will be rounded to the nearest nickel, so sometimes you'll 'win' and pay a couple cents less, and sometimes you'll 'lose' and pay a couple cents more. Plastic transactions will still be to the cent.

I use cash and frequent places who take only cash. I use my card more often, I guess, but cash will always be better.
Rounding... huh.

Off work sick for the second day in a row. Dreampt my sister got slashed up by a stalker, was bleeding to death, and I was trying to keep her alive inside of a camera bag. Noone would call 9-1-1. I hate sleeping in. Ugh. I hate nightmares. I got them a lot a couple weeks ago. I'm so glad that is over.

Oh yeah. And I like any coin that adds to my Coinstar total. And pennies do that.
