Yessiree, Bromst is the one.
There are really only two Dan Deacon albums, for all intents and purposes. They are both totally unique and they are both confoundingly amazing, but Bromst is a purebred fucking masterpiece.
Although you know what, Spiderman of the Rings is possibly a more welcoming entry point... Bromst can ask a lot of you at certain moments, while all Spiderman wants to do is hug the shit out of you. Either way, it's safe to say that if you don't like one you won't like the other.

I quite enjoyed that. Could do with a little less of the really high pitched stuff (I seem to have a bit of a headache now), but I'm sure that's partly due to listening to it on my crappy laptop speakers.
Will listen again.

Hahayeah in that case Bromst over SotR was the right call.
I advise listening to the track 'Big Milk', though. It's my favorite Dan Deacon tune (after 'Snookered').

What's this band/album like? I see they're playing here in a couple weeks and only recognized 'em because you listen to them. Trying to decide if I should check them out.
