This is absolutely the wrong answer. Minor Threat is N'Sync to Fugazi's Justin Timberlake. I once met a female at a bar who literally dragged me to Warped to hang out with Bad Religion. She used to sleep with the guitarist, Brian Baker. He was the biggest pile of shit I've ever met. I'm not the only guy who thinks this either, it's a prevalent theme for that asshat. The rest of Bad Religion were cool dudes. She almost killed me on the ride home, and I'm pretty sure she pulled a "gas and go." Don't try to ruin Fugazi's legend by mentioning Minor Threat. That was Ian's mistake. Sorry you had a bad night with some drunk chick and an asshole punk guitarist, but the simple fact is that I love almost every song Minor Threat recorded and none of Fugazi's stuff ever caught for me. I didn't say it was a bad night. She was special.

Freddie Gibbs and Madlib - PiñataI have been checking my mailbox OCD style waiting for this to arrive. It is driving me crazy! I haven't heard it yet. What do you think? I wasn't as instantly blown away as I expected to be, but it's really good. The first listen just kinda sounded like another generic rap album to me. But, with a couple more listens, the brilliance in it started to become more obvious. That new Kool A.D, on the other hand, that one got me right away. My opinion is probably biased though, on account of me already being a huge fan of Das Racist not so much Freddie Gibbs.

Also, Palace To Palace, what a fucking cut. Hmmmm, yes indeed I do concur, 'tis the jam. My favorite is fucking 'Destroy', because it delivers as advertised. And the final cut, which you may have also heard before:

Destroy was like listening to/surviving the apocalypse.
I thought that closer sounded... Familiar.

I freaked out when I first heard it because it sounded like John Fell Ryan had actually written a song.

I freaked out when I first heard it because it sounded like John Fell Ryan had actually written a song. He's way too busy writing essays about The Shining. adhoc.fm/post/john-fell-ryan-shining/

Being his facebook friend consists entirely of breaking updates regarding the Shining. Have you seen Room 237? It's an entire film about conspiracy theory surrounding the Shining, prominently featuring Fell Ryan. It's on netflix instant watch.

Oops. He hosts viewings in New York where he shows it forward and backward at the same time, which is still something that I have been meaning to try because that sounds awesome.
