Now I'm listening to Spencer Krug's new Moonface album, Organ Music, Not Vibraphone Like I'd Hoped. It's really excellent, if you're into that sort of thing. And I am. You guys should check out what Consequence of Sound wrote on this album. This is the most ridiculous piece of music writing I've seen in a long time. This guy is just the absolute worst. He sounds like the type of person who is "revered" amongst his small social circle and therefore has this misplaced confidence to puke all sorts of superfluous bullshit all over the internet site. consequenceofsound.net/2011/08/album-review-moonface-organ-music-not-vibraphone-like-id-hoped/

I count a full five paragraphs before he actually gets down to addressing the content of the record.
And I can't tell if THIS:
(somewhere between a bewildered David Byrne and a Low-era David Bowie–guess he’s fond of those initials)
or THIS:
Kruggies (what I’m calling his followers)
is what is making me want to kick him squarely in the nuts harder. For someone who seems so comfortable using the word 'alas' he should probably keep the smarminess to a minimum. Otherwise you just look like a joke.

The Sheepdogs
Billy The Kid & The Southside Boys (Vancouver singer/songwriter who just finished up her first full band album. It ended up coming out a lot more pop-country than her earlier stuff)

I see you're getting ready for the Shins show there Gunther. 3 days!
Radiohead - The King of Limbs
This album has slowly enchanted me. I was very unimpressed when I first heard it but I am now in love with it. I love melting into my couch with this album as I shut out the rest of the world for 37 minutes and 24 seconds.

After watching them cycle through the dance, I was able to follow along with the "woah, shocks the brain," part, but there wasn't really room to be throwing your hands out side to side. I didn't see anyone in the crowd actually doing the whole dance.

Have you listened to much of Camel, Geno? They're pretty much Michael Akerfeldt's earliest and biggest inspiration for Opeth.

Iron & Wine - Kiss Each Other Clean Bon Iver - Bon Iver Elbow - Build A Rocket Boys! Portugal. The Man - In The Mountain In The Cloud
I've listened to the Bon Iver and Iron & Wine albums five or six times each, and I can't comprehend how people think the Bon Iver album is better. The Bon Iver is pretty boring, while the Iron & Wine has several really good songs. Looks like Bon Iver will be playing the Pitchfork festival next year, they gave him a 9.5.
