I've drunkenly told people that I am good friends with people I met on the internet and half the time they look at me like I'm crazy, and half the time they get all excited and say "ME TOO!".
Weirdest thing this internet. I still don't understand it.
MONDAY BITCHES.
I'm also half excited half nervous for the Squamish lineup tomorrow. Too bad it's at 11am. Kinda ruins the fun.

Do not start a debate about the legal system of America in the smiles thread.

^This.
One or the other could totally happen. Both? Nah.
I'm also sorry I caused such a fuss with my assumption that Tool and NIN would draw a shitty crowd. I'm sure most of their fans are fine, but I retain my belief that if they are both at the same one (spoiler: it won't happen) that the crowd would be vastly different from the usual Sasquatch crowd. I'd be cool with it since I like both bands, but I still think a lot of regulars would not be pleased with the crowd it draws.

Is it weird that I am super excited to get drunk a post nonsense on the internet with you assholes on Monday?
I'm more excited for that then the weekend, which happens to contain the Superbowl and a good friends birthday party. I'm not really a football fan, but still.

Not gunna happen. But if it does, look forward to a front row spot as there will be maybe 500 people at that set.

Even though the price per beer was high (by Canada prices even!) it was still totally worth it. I've never paid that much attention to what I was drinking and I feel like I learned a lot.
If they don't make their way down south next year I'll do my best to get a case to you somehow. You're basically the main reason this thread is still a thing.
PS I hate that you Americans post all of these beers in here that I can't get. I'll have to look into getting a bunch of cheap craft beer when I am killing a few days between weekends at Coachella.
That last sentence may also be the best thing I have ever said on this board.

Pemberton has been putting stupid shit on their facebook for the last couple of weeks with no real indication of if they are actual clues or they are just fucking around. They have put up like 5 random artists confirming they won't be playing.
They also posted *lightning bolt* + *paperclip* + something I forgot. I can't get on facebook right now, but that seemed like the only other actual clue.
I'd be surprised if it was Outkast since they are in the UK the first week of July (2 weeks before this festival) but, again, planes.

A BIGGER CROWD?!?
The floor was packed and the hill was basically bouncing up and down.
They probably had a bigger crowd than some of the headliners that year.
They don't need a light show to make parties happen. I've seen them at night before and that was good too, but that Sasquatch set was pretty much perfect.

"Performing the Soft Bulletin and more". Oops. "Performing The Soft Bulletin and less". I die a little inside every time I think about that set.

I'm liking the new avatars, boys. Matt's is better, but nick wins most improved. Seconded. That old avatar was one of the worst things I have ever seen.

I hate that their lineup always comes right before Sasquatch and gets me all hyped, then the actual Sasquatch lineup brings me right back down to earth.
Not that I've been disappointed by many Sasquatch lineups, but they ain't no Prima lineup.
I used the word lineup too many times there. The word has lost all meaning.
Lineup.

The one reason I was kinda hoping for Arcade Fire at Sasquatch was the possibility of a Colin Stetson solo set and fucking Primavera gets one. How much overlap is there typically? There are a lot of acts on there that I was really hoping for this year. Also, that lineup video was really cool. I like how they did that. Last year was like... 8? But this year they aren't on the same weekend so we can probably expect more.

Edit: Beartrap beat me. See poster above.
Hoping for a lot of overlap this year. Queens, National, Pixies, Darkside, !!!, NIN, GY!BE, Mogwai, and Cut Copy to name a few.
Man Chromeo is way far down on that lineup. Didn't even see them on the first pass.

That Wireless festival is a cool idea. Essentially the same festival in 2 different locations over the same weekend. The bands get 2 paycheques over the weekend, the festival can sell twice as many tickets but only has to book 1 lineup, and people can go to whichever one is easier for them to get to.
Interesting Outkast is going to Europe in July. I wonder if they will be there for the rest of the summer, which would probably make sense. I'm still not sure how they're going to do 40 festivals this summer, there just aren't enough weekends unless they do 2/weekend.

I'm pretty happy about most of those misses actually.
A couple will probably still be at Sasquatch, cause ya know, planes and stuff.
