$85 for that lineup seems pretty reasonable to me. Hell, I've paid almost $50 just to see Girl Talk. Somewhat considering it... But 6 festivals a year should probably be my limit. I don't think a two-day fest in a city centre really counts towards your "music festival" limit though. /enabler

I think I'm going to have to have to be a germophobe and not share waters and stuff from now on at festivals. I need to avoid post festival sickness.... this sucks. Hashtag adult sarah. You just need to be really good at pre and post-loading with all your vitamins etc. I shared plenty of things at Coachella and no post-festival sickness for me this time around.

Does anyone have space for +2 ? The only thing holding me back from buying tickets is my lack of transportation. let me know. I'm 95% sure we will have more than enough space. I'm going, KY is going, goldbeard, weenie, nadine... plus a bunch of non board people. We'll have space for you somewhere. Get yourself some tickets! Davers speaks the truth. Get yourself some tickets, Rusty!

Everything daver said. Most theft is just a crime of opportunity - if something looks easy to take (so a perfectly packed bag just sitting in a tent), a thief will grab it. Make it harder on them and spread your shit around so they'd have to spend time looking for valuables. Also, never keep all your money in one spot so you won't lose it all in one fell swoop and don't bring anything you're not willing to lose. And know your neighbours so they'll question weird people going through your camp and you can do the same for them. Also know your neighbours 'cause they're probably really cool people who will be fun to shotgun with and they might have corn chips to share with you.

It costs stupid money. It's probably half the size of the place I live now and costs almost twice as much. BUT IT HAS A POOL! AND A HOT TUB! AND A GYM! AND A POOL TABLE! AND A CONCIERGE! I don't even know what a concierge does, but it's still exciting. If we all get real cosy we could probably fit 4 people in there... including me. A concierge sits at a desk watching movies on thier phone all day/night and sometimes signs for packages for you. Also, I think you're seriously underestimating how cosy of a group we can be - I bet you could fit up to 6 of us.

Are you living on east hastings? He sure makes it sound like that, doesn't he? Actually, if it was Hastings, daver would get to see drug deals and prostitution on his front steps not just the back alley.

Frito dust? How did any frito dust even survive on your sleeping pad with all the pee water it was covered in when we took it out if the tent?

They didn't play that song even though Davers and his magic future predictions told me they would. I want a refund Daver! They played it weekend one only. I'm pretty sure we'll get it at Sasquatch though. I'll bet my left nut on it.

Oh and I'm pretty sure you spelled it right, or at least the way the crayola crayon spelled it.

Rusty sorry to hear your person didn't/won't get your CD (I don't remember you who got right now without looking it up) but your mix looks incredible. You did a fantastic job on all the art too! When I get home I might try to make the playlist so it will still get listened to at least.

Rusty! Meeting you and your girlfriend was definitely a highlight of my weekend (even if I did get my Thursday white girl wasted blackout in the middle of talking to her). So sorry I didn't come by your camp, but I did see the Rusty flag your neighbours had and started every morning by saying we should go visit.
Such a fantastic fucking weekend - best Coachella so far, that's for sure. Beck's set was a highlight, best I've seen of him - cried my eyes out at parts and danced like a manic at others. Top three sets were Pet Shop Boys (was worried I hyped them for myself but they surpassed my expectations), Arcade Fire (after waiting this long to finally see them, they fully delivered) and Caravan Palace (no idea who they were and so so happy other Megan suggested seeing them, great dance party). Still haven't fully decompressed from the weekend but already know I can't wait to do it again with you all next year. And we still have the rest of festival season to go for this year!

You've been a boarder here long enough and have met most of us already, there's no possibility of you ever being a Sasquatch orphan ever again.

My ride fell through so I might be looking to sell my ticket if davers can't hook you up. Why would you sell your ticket when I'm certain one of the boarders here would be willing to give you lift/let you join their camp?

Hotels are expensive in Whistler in general, then add in a high occupancy weekend like this fest and prices will only go up. I'd say go for the camping; I'm sure you will meet plenty of people there and you could even make some friends here on the board beforehand so you won't be totally solo at the fest if you're worried about that. Plus, half the reason to go to a music fest is the camping, you don't want to miss out on that.

His shows are always a blast! One of my favourites was when he played Squamish fest a few years ago, just the size of it all made for some awesome, fun energy. I'm sure Pemberton will end up being pretty similar.

I said I wouldn't watch any of the streams this weekend 'cause I didn't want to spoil anything for myself, but I've been reading a bit of the thread on the Coachella forums about the streams and hot damn is it ever getting me pumped! Especially for the Pet Shop Boys who were already my top must-see for the weekend and now even moreso! Just three more days 'til I leave!! Exclamation points!!!

I just put in my time off request from work for Sasquatch and What the Festival. I already purchased my WTF ticket, so hopefully that works out, but does anybody still have a Sasquatch ticket they're trying to get rid of? Assuming I get the time off, I'll happily pay you the full cost (face+shipping) for it just so you don't have to worry about selling it elsewhere. Let me know! I think Davers still has that extra May ticket but you'll have to check with him when he's surfaced from Coachella.

I got a couple passes, but by the time I selected how many advanced I wanted (at about 10:00:12am) they were already "pending" so I just switched to regular right away. I didn't want to deal with the stress of refreshing for 20 minutes just to save $20 and I had to leave for a doctor's appointment anyway.
tl;dr PEMBERTON HERE WE COME!
