I knew someone in high school who thought her passenger door was broken. 4 months later, homie goes to look at it, and... lo and behold, locked the whole time! At least her car doors locked. When I was in high school my doors rarely locked. When it got too cold, they rarely shut. You haven't lived until you make a hard left across traffic onto a busy street and have your passenger door swing wide open. I got very accustomed to driving with a bungee cord across my lap connecting the two doors together. In the ghettooooooooooo. Yes it was a she. Yes she was blonde. This group only had one chick and numerous bros. I guess there isn't a very large automotive section in the bro handbook.

This probably sounds asinine but I would suggest Festival goers learn how to jump a car battery before going to the Gorge. More importantly, learn how to pop your hood. Last year on Tuesday morning a group of no less than five adolescents spent over 15 minutes trying to pop the hood to their parent’s car. As much as I enjoyed watching the group, they eventually caught my stare and before I could quickly look away I was asked to help them. I was a bit worried that this car’s hood was impenetrable. 15 seconds later I knew they were just dumbasses.

When I go into the festival I take a soft-sided cooler. I think it is a necessity.

That's where I aim to keep my cals. 1100-1200/day. Even that is a little low. 500/day puts your body into reservation and starvation mode. The people are losing more of muscle than they need to when they're taking that kind of stuff and seeing such dramatic loss. I think it's crazy. It’s not FDA approved for weight loss and there are sites out there dedicated to the risks of the diet. Only brought it up because I know another person wanting to try it and I'm not sold. Here’s what they say: (hcgdietinfo.com) "hCG weight loss studies have shown that weight lost following the Simeons protocol comes directly from adipose fat tissue rather than lean muscle. In doing so, the weight lost comes directly from unhealthy fat and does not strip the body of much needed muscle, vitamins or minerals essential to maintain good health, while at the same time, releasing excessive amounts of fat-stored nutrients into the blood stream to be absorbed by the body. A 500 calorie a day diet also known as the VLCD (very low calorie diet), is combined with a minimal intake of hCG. A natural hormone that is created in laboraties (is that a word?) which raises the body's rate of metabolism while using stored fat for energy. The result is significant loss of fat in a very short time."

I've tried to stay off this thread but once you started talking about weight loss I was like, "O shit girl, I gotta get in on this." I work as a diet tech in a hospital Ever heard of the HCG Diet? The diet consists of eating 500 calories a day along with taking these drops (See Image) every day. I guess the drops suppress your appetite so eating 500 calories a day is (somewhat) manageable. I've had 3 people close to me try the diet. One gave up quickly, but the other two lost 37 pounds (in 9 weeks I think) and 20 pounds (in 5 weeks) respectively. Here's the question for you stinkyfingers: 500 calories a day is crazy low. So low that you aren't allowed to work out while on the diet. Doesn't that just sound bad for the body?

Wow, that’s a loaded question but I'll give it a shot. I’m kind of a Literary Minimalist.

Too bad you fell asleep at 16, it's the best when you're 16-21yrs, blew my mind! Still really good watch today and fun number stuff that had me re-evaluating the world as I knew it back then. Know have you seen this? I haven't seen Pi. I doubt I would like it unless it was a documentary. Here you go.
