The Hives won't come back 2 for this year, mostly because I believe they're working on a new album. The Hives were awesome though.

Haha OK. $10 it is. At the very least gives us a clue as to the source of this rumour... Some day...

Yuck. If I was making up the headliners, I could do a better job than that. Why the fuck would they have an entire day with just Tool playing? There is absolutely no point to doing that whatsoever. There is zero chance the festival will be 4 days. you can quote me on that.Ok fine. I bet you $10, I am serious, that it's 4 days.

What I'm really wondering is Coachella has McCartney, Bonnaroo has the Boss, what does Sasquatch have?

I see a lot of people are hoping that the whole Oasis / Weezer thing doesn't happen. Last August I went to see Oasis, basically because my wife really liked them. So I went into the show with pretty low expectations. I really hadn't listened to anything recent by them, so I went and got a bunch of their newer music, and had a listen. I actually enjoyed quite a bit of their new stuff, and the show absolutely blew me away. VERY IMPRESSED!!! They totally won me over. I would be very happy to see them again, cause I do think they would surprise alot of others as they surprised me. Also, just as a side note.....Ryan Adams opened for them at the show I was at. I was pretty excited to see this guy. Ryan Adams however did not win me over. I have no issue with Oasis, I hear amazing things about their live show. I have an issue with Weezer, I don't find them interesting.

I'd love to see BoH again. In 06' they had a lot of technical difficulties because of the rain, and they still put on a great show. I think they have a new album out this year, and they have Seattle roots. So, I don't see why there wouldn't be a good chance of them being there.......... Agreed, a dance tent doesn't have to happen, but I can't stop thinking about it. I just think it's pointless for them to shovel out effort every year on things like a movie tent or a comedy tent, or a video game tent. When they could just make another area for live music (It is a MUSIC FESTIVAL)........... In the end, I don't care if I'm in a tent, on a hill, or in a field. As long as there's good music. Comedy is at every festival, big deal. The tent they put it in was only used for VIPs and the night bands previously. Bonnaroo keeps a movie tent. Big deal. It's not that I'm against a dance tent, but I don't see it necessary. The video game building is there all year and paid to exist these days through Xbox. The tent that houses comedy is there all year. The movie tent was for the Flaming Lips and it was their deal. Only other movies I've seen there are the trailers when you leave and the movies shown to premium campers. The reason they have things besides music are to give you OPTIONS. Every festival does this, not just Sasquatch. If they can fit a dance tent in, have fun. Throw Crystal Castles there, I'll probably show up. But find a place for it. Where the Lips had their circus tent could work. But I still don't see it to be a necessity.

I think Morrisey is touring Europe during Sasquatch!. So, he's a no go. In regards to the dance tent, for it to be legit, it would have to be a pretty big tent. I'm going on my 4th Sasquatch!, and about my 10th time at the Gorge, and I don't know of any area that would be big enough to hold a big-ass tent like that......... Could someone enlighten me? There is the good sized area where the Flaming Lips had their circus tent for their awesome movie. You also have to remember, Sasquatch doesn't hold as many people as every other festival, so it doesn't have to be that big either. It also doesn't mean they need a dance tent. I also doubt one will exist. Sasquatch is also a festival that tries to set itself apart from every other festival, why should it have a dance tent then? I get that people like it, but that doesn't mean they need it.

Here are some of my "predictions" Sasquatch will be expanded to 4 days. Tool will be the only act playing on Friday night. Morrisey and Oasis will be headlining 2 of the other 3 nights. Call it a hunch. I believe you on the 4 days. Although Morrisey I'm doubting based on his tour dates and when Sasquatch always takes place.

What about Jimmy Eat World or even AAR? I know it's a little more pop than rock, but they could put on a killer 45 minute set. You're aware this is the Sasquatch festival right? I mean they usually have a rock band every year but it fits. Like the Hives last year, they worked well. Jimmy Eat World? Maybe, but I wouldn't watch them. AAR? FUCK NO. They play the Warped Tour every now and then and I hate them then. They're a pop band.

I have gone to the last 4 Sasquatch festivals and this year for 2009 I would really like to see KINGS OF LEON. I know a whole lot of other people that would love to see them as well. They are one of the best bands out there right now. Whoever you are that is in charge of the music lineup.....get KINGS OF LEON booked asap! Plus......they are tight w/ Pearl Jam and would probably play a song together which would be amazing. I also hope to see MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Pearl Jam, Flight of the Concords, PETER BJORN & JOHN.....love you guys. Well I could go on forever......that's a wrap. I highly doubt Adam Zacks visits here, plus Sasquatch's headliners are booked. I believe Vampire Weekend have said they won't be there and many other US festivals, but who knows. PJ is possible. FOTC, no. They played last year and are doing two days in Seattle in May. MGMT I actually do see playing. Why can't it be late February?!

My 3 bands are -Paul McCartney -The Killers -The Cure Wow I'm glad i'm not going to Coachella. With those 3 shitty preformers headlining there's no way that the Quatch won't have better headliners this year? Have fun with the 50 year olds on Friday. Better get more ambulances down there, with all the Morrisey and McCartney fans. Old people will ruin that fest. Surprisingly Morrisey's biggest fan base is latinos. I have a belief Sasquatch will outdo Coachella. It's not that it's bad, but aside from McCartney I could care less about the headliners. If it was the Killers still supporting Sam's Town, I'd be there. But their latest album wasn't good so I don't care to hear it. Plus Amy Winehouse? Whatever.

Pearl Jam(doesn't even have to be Sasquatch, they'll get me there) Manu Chao of Montreal
Also I'll just throw NASA out there but if it was NASA plus guests. Like if NASA played, then the rest of the weekend had Wu Tang, Tom Waits, David Byrne, Public Enemy, MIA, Kanye, Santogold, etc. I'd be amazed.

Neil Young and Pearl Jam would be amazing. Separate performances and then a collaboration performance...o to dream. The Who and Pearl Jam would be spectacular too. I would love to see NIN make an appearance again, they always put on a great show. Maybe have Explosions in the sky play at sunset prior to NIN...I love dreaming Really hoping to see MURS, never seen him live before. Be fun to see Guns n Roses at Sasquatch. An Everclear reunion would be cool to see. Hopefully when they finally announce Coachella, there will be some good clues of possible performers. It's called Sasquatch! Music Festival, not SuckFest. Minus GNR and Everclear, that's a good dream line up.

I guess everyone on here must be from seattle or washington because I don't see any other way these people could get stoked on Pear Jam? . In bluesborn defense, going out on limb here but Everyone on this board is in the NW, and Montana while not in the NW, has PJ ties and for that they are huge there also. Not a big PJ fan, but I'd watch them live and they would sell the tickets, they make sense as a headliner. And as a fan of KoL, this would be a down year if they headline. Question: Are people under the impression that PJ isn't huge in the rest of the country? They're one band that's remained very popular throughout the world in fact. They're still an amazingly popular band. It's not just the northwest, they've headlined Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.

I guess everyone on here must be from seattle or washington because I don't see any other way these people could get stoked on Pear Jam? Pearl Jam is lame especially considering this isn't 1992'. And kings of leon I want to see a rock n roll show not a yuppie jam fest with parents who drive there range rovers down to stand around with their kids in a baby bjorn. Mines well have dave Matthew's and coldplay. I went last year and got to see cedric from the mars volta throw a cymbal and fan into the audience. Once I saw that theres no going back they better spice up this line up. Animal collective would be amazing even though they are very hit or miss live. mgmt would good. arcade fire would be classic, franz ferdinan would be good. hell even bring back the hives. Pearl Jam is an amazing live band, I'm also from Montana not WA. So to you, because it's not 1992, Pearl Jam are irrelevant? So why did the Cure, REM, and Flaming Lips headline last year? Why did the Beastie Boys and Bjork headline the year before? These acts, PJ included, still put out great music and because they have a name people know, can headline. Coachella had Prince and Roger Waters last year and Paul McCartney this year. You're logic of who headliners should be or who is on the line up seems a bit flawed. Every band that can sell out the Gorge has pretty much existed for over ten years. The only exception so far I would say is the Arcade Fire. A LOT of people left after they played in 07. If Arcade Fire headline I wouldn't be surprised at all, but due to lack of new music, it's doubtful.

As neat as that is, no. Each festival as their own thing and Sasquatch's mystique to me has always been being able to hide their line up really well. Like Coachella I always hear line up rumors and they always wind up true. I haven't had that with Sasquatch yet.
