I so hope you're right about Sleigh Bells and Chromeo! It looks pretty obvious when you look at the Sleigh Bells tour. They are going to tear it up!

Exactly dude. What counds as 'big' for you guys? It's not like there's really THAT many bands that could sell out an arena Tool, RHCP, Pearl Jam, Madonna. Just sayin.

Hi. I'm misterL and it's a pleasure to meet you as well. I lurk around here because I'm fuckin dyin to see the rest of the lineup. I love the Gorge and I'll be traveling about 18 hours to get there(my 6th visit) and I'll be leading a big ass caravan of people again. There's nowhere else I'd rather spend my birthday. Hate me all you want, I'm just not feelin the Pixies.
That reference was not even close to explicit enough, especially considering the glaring typo. Try again
What the fuck are you talking about? What typo? Any die hard Lebowski fan will catch an Autobahn reference especially when preceded by the (ugggh) which is exactly what Maude says before she says their name.

I was actually testing you HG to see if you were actually worthy of having 'Shomer fuckin' shabbos' as your tag at the bottom of all your posts. Clearly you are not as my prior post was a complete joke and a reference to the greatest comedy of all time.

Come on alex, don't pretend to be the only person on earth that wasn't aware of last year's headliners.
Count me in.

The pixies are not headline material. I'll be so fuckin depressed if they come out. I'm with that other dude who said maybe indeed the only thing special about the 10th anniversary is the 4th day. We need at least 1 other prime time act.

I'm thinking it unlikely Pearl Jam will play Sasquatch. The last large american festival they played was Bonaroo in 2008 and according to this link www.spinner.com/2010/12/09/pearl-jam-music-festival-20th-anniversary/ They are planning their 'own' music festival. Also Eddie Vedder is on a solo tour with dates through the begining of April. It's sad but I think Pearl Jam can be moved out of the strong possibilities section and into the unlikely.

*SHRUGS* I saw Alice in Chains live at the Sturgis Biker Rally and they were awesome. If you closed your eyes you'd have no idea it wasn't Lane on stage singing. They sounded great and played all the great AiC songs. Their new ablum, released late 2009, kicked ass. The PNW is their homeland, why not get'em on stage.

Regarding Tool, it's no secret that Adam and Justin have been writing and that the band has been in the studio. It's also confirmed that Tool is playing the Big Day Out festival in Australia/New Zealand. They also played the Mile High Music festival last year and were rumored to bring new music to the table then, but they didnt.
If Tool follows their standard cycle, which is roughly 4-5 years between albums, then we should see a new album this year. If they don't play Sasquatch I hope like hell they at least play the Gorge this year.
If Roger Waters hasn't played the Gorge then why not make a push to see him at Sasquatch?

Swirling rumors of a At the Drive In reunion, they would be an extreme longshot.

If NIN and Jane's Addiction can headline Sasquatch than Tool certainly can as well, I don't know how they 'don't fit the vibe'
Were any of you at their show in 2007? If so where do you rank it as far as shows you've seen at the Gorge or in general? Alot of Tool die-hards and Gorge die-hards that I know have called it one of the greatest shows they've seen.
What about Roger Waters/Pink Floyd? Too big for Sasquatch?
At the Drive In?
What about Alice in Chains?
Another sidestage band that would be fuckin awesome to see - Floater.

Just forget the second half of the post and lets support Tool for Sasquatch 2011!
You can't honestly tell me you'd rather see Modest Mouse than RHCP. Is this uuuhhh weekday? What day is this? It must be april fool's day. I think it'd be a breath of fresh air to see a new band like the Peppers at Sasquatch.
Anyways, I'm not exactly crossing my fingers for Kings of Leon I just think they're a far superior alternative to some of the other bands we could potentially be subjected to. They're faaaaaaaaar down the list of bands I love, but I've heard they put on a pretty good live show and I missed'em in 2009 when I came for Jane's Addiction/NIN. Which by the way was bullshit that Jane's headlined over NIN. The 2006 NIN performance was face meltingly awesome.
I may get some hate for this, but I wouldn't complain if they threw a metal act in the mix somewhere....

I'd rather see a fat man farting on a snare drum live than see Ben Harper there again.

What about Tool as a headliner for Sasquatch? It's rumored they will release a new album this year and tour to support said album. I realize they've never played Sasquatch but they played one of the most epic concerts of all time at the Gorge back in 2007. A concert which I'll proudly say I inspired/convinced over 20 people to travel 18 hours from our home state to see. I know its the best show I've seen at the Gorge. Plus Tool has been playing festivals at each of their last tours. They're an act to maybe put in the 'Remote Possibilities' section. Buuuuuut they'd make the other acts look bad so Tool will probably stay out of it.
My Other Hopefuls... Soundgarden Pearl Jam Red Hot Chili Peppers(have they ever played the Gorge?) White Stripes Radiohead Black Keys(maybe not as a headliner, but I'd love to see'em there) Tom Petty Kings of Leon(why not?) Daft Punk
So here's to hoping the announcements for this lineup will make it worth the 18 hour drive and yet another memorable birthday for me at Sasquatch. I don't love Foo Fighters, but I definetly don't hate them. I have alot of respect for Dave Grohl and the fighters. I think they'll put on an excellent show.
OH GOD NO PLEASE DONT SIGN THESE FUCKING BANDS Kanye West Ben Harper(worst headliner I've seen at any Gorge concert EVER) Coldplay Modest Mouse Basically any band that played the main stage on Monday May 25th, 2009.
Other bands I hope to see, but are not headliners. Devil Makes Three Devil Makes Three The Black Angels Chromeo(totally watched them over shitty ass Ben Harper a few years back) M.I.A. Streetsweeper Social Club And did I mention that I would love to see Devil Makes Three there?
I don't live in the Northwest region so I don't always know alot of the bands I see at Sasquatch but it's amazing becuase every time I've gone I've returned home with new music to listen to. I love Sasquatch, hopefully they create a kickass lineup so I can enjoy my 30th birthday at one of my favorite places in the country.
