I think a Jónsi solo set is probably more likely. Sigur Rós are more likely now considering they are linked to playing Lollapalooza Chile in April and have been working on an album. Ah, OK. Disregard what I said then.

If Sigur Ros recorded something (like they said they would), maybe they'll show up...*crossing fingers* I think a Jónsi solo set is probably more likely.

Thats the biggest load of shit I've heard if their really is a noise ordinance! No way could you hear the festival from afar! I mean come on...its a fucking MUSIC FESTIVAL! Locals in George and Quincy should embrace it! I know all the concert goers in Wenatchee do! It's not that tough to comprehend. Would you like a bunch of 16 year old kids playing beer pong and smoking tweet all night in your back yard? Turns out the locals aren't big Deadmau5 fans. It's still bullshit. You can barely hear the bands from the overflow of the campground. There's no way anyone in George can hear shit. They just want to be assholes.

Just bring your standard camping stuff: tent, sleeping bag, etc. A rain jacket would be good. A cooler of snacks and food enough for the weekend (there's food in the festival, but it's shit and overpriced). Money. Booze. Drugs. Whatever you need to get through the weekend.

If it happened (but it wouldn't---even if NMH did come back, I'd be surprised if they did any festivals), I think they'd probably sub-headline. All of the indie kids would crowd the stage trying to get Jeff Magnum to touch their boners (and I include myself in this).
All the frat kids would be on the hill saying, "what's this shit? put fucking Kings of Leon on already".

Anyone seen these before? www.blogotheque.net/spip.php?page=cae_all&lang=enBasically some French dude records a band playing a couple of songs at random places around Paris and other cities. Sometimes they'll play a song in the streets, on the metro, in somebody's apartment, in an elevator. All kinds of interesting things happen during the videos too. It's pretty wild. I've been obsessed with these since I came across them yesterday. Here are two of my favourites: Yeasayer doing a great rendition 2080 at some dude's apartment after a show: Menomena doing Wet and Rusting in the courtyard of apartment buildings while two little kids dance:

1) The National - High Violet 2) Local Natives - Gorilla Manor 3) Sufjan Stevens - Age of Adz 4) Wavves - King of the Beach 5) Menomena - Mines 6) The Tallest Man on Earth - The Wild Hunt 7) Surfer Blood - Astro Coast 8) Yeasayer - Odd Blood 9) Beach House - Teen Dream 10) The Walkmen - Lisbon 11) Best Coast - Crazy For You 12) Titus Andronicus - The Monitor 13) Deerhunter - Halcyon Digest 14) Wolf Parade - Expo 86 15) Fang Island - Fang Island
Yeah, yeah. Pitchfork shmitchfork, downloads shmownloads. I don't care. I've paid money to see half the bands on this list this year (some of them more than once), and would pay to see the rest given half the chance (Especially Sufjan! Tour the UK damnit!)

I have a ticket to see the Dirty Projectors with Male Bonding in London in a few days, but I can't find it at the moment. Guess I gotta clean up the house and find it.

know ID yuh, any info on the addition of chromeo to the rumors list? Consequence of Sound had Chromeo as a rumour a while back with a link to their MySpace page tour listings. When I saw it, the tour listings didn't have Sasquatch listed. I'm guessing though it was at one point accidentally leaked on their MySpace page.

Christ, I hope KoL and Ben Harper (and Weezer for that matter) are nowhere near the Gorge in May.

That's fuckin awesome. Although, I don't know why they'd break up. they dont even have to talk to eachother. their albums are recorded by e-mail and they communicate through second parties. AND they make incredible music this way. seems kinda break-up proof. They still have to deal with each other while on tour I guess. Seems that things are going better now that Joe Haege has joined the band: blogs.seattleweekly.com/reverb/2010/09/interview_danny_seim_of_menome.php

I hope they get Menomena before they break up. They hatez eachother I second that motion. Me too! I saw them opening for The National the other night - they were great! Would be a shame if they broke up.

I think they're both a safe bet---both have put out albums in the last year that are getting a lot of hype, which is usually what gets someone a spot at Sasquatch. I saw Wavves in Vancouver in August; they put on a good show.
