hey new jersey, i also live in pittsburgh... and what i've learned about living in this town is that steelers fans are about as obnoxious as they come. and yes, that includes Dallas, Philly and Oakland fans.

As a Browns fan, QFT. Any really hardcore football fan is sort of annoying though. I just hate the Steelers and I'm sick of the Packers.

While we're making generalizations about fanbases, I'll throw in my thoughts. I agree with newjersey, Cowboy and Eagles fans are the worst. Raiders fans don't annoy me, I think it's cool how every game is Halloween. Plus, their team has been so terrible as of late, it's more like I feel sorry for them. Oakland is a great city for fandom. If you want to eat cheese and drink wine in the bay area, you live in SF. If you want to pound beers and watch a game, you live in Oakland. A's fans are the best of the west in Baseball.
I find Seattle fans pretty annoying due to their fair-weathered attitude, and lack of knowledge. "Oh, the Seahawks are doing well this year? I'll buy a hat."

I think that's just the Seattle way with everything.

Ahh another Sounders fan Yeah, it remains to be seen, but we may not fall prey to the seattle fair weather fan syndrome. Should there be a sounders thread?

Just thought I'd revise this thread to give a nice "fuck you" to the Seachicken fans.
Love,
A diehard 49ers fan

Haha no. Even though the division was pretty much given to the 49ers on a silver platter, they didn't deserve to make the playoffs. Thank god we got some new coaching. Although I'm much more concerned about the Rams for the next few years.

Not to say that I'm a conspiracy theorist or anything, but this Tony Romo situation has me skeptical we aren't being lied to. I watched so little NFL news during the offseason, but I do recall an interview with Romo in which he sounded confident, overly confident, to the point that he actually sounded like a leader. Everyone was backing him too, like it's a new team. Then he blows their first game in typical Romo style, and everyone, including his teammates begin doubting him again. Now what does the franchise do to save face, and get that momentum back?
Hold the presses, week two, Tony Romo plays with a broken rib AND a collapsed lung. What a stud. All the sudden everyone is talking about how courageous he is. Wow, he is so tough playing through those injuries, AND, he's going to play through those injuries for the rest of the season. His teammates support him again. Everything is good again, as long as he can handle the pain. I'm calling it now, he won't miss any time, but you will see him crying like he's about to die every time he makes a mistake, grimacing in pain.

The Ravens would let Matt Hasselbeck tear them a new one after blowing out the Steelers in week one

With the first pick of the 2012 draft, the Seattle Seahawks select... Andrew Luck!

I think it's rather ironic this article appears on espn.com tonight. No, they didn't mention Romo at all, but it does beg the question, how much of a competitive advantage can you gain by faking an injury. I think I mapped it out pretty clear above. espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7000274/nfl-threatens-fines-suspensions-faking-injuries

Thats fucking interesting man, thats fucking interesting. I pay as little attention as possible to Tony Romo and the Cowboys, especially in the off season, so I don't recall this confident sounding Romo. But that article was definitely coming. If you saw that Monday night game you could tell that flop was as flagrant as can be. Stopping the clock without using a timeout to get the Giants goal line defense out. Pure and simple. Although I do enjoy a good conspiracy theory, and applaud your branding the coincidence as ironic in an attempt to add weight to your claims. Your attempt to tarnish Romo in the eyes of the Unofficial Sasquatch Message Board, due to injury faking, shall be out shined this week by Deon Grant. . . And whoever that other dude was that fell down at the same time until he realized that someone else had beat him to it. Thanks for renaming my Seattle specific sports thread by the way. No need to worry, Mariners thread soon to follow.

Hi Topspin. Don't worry dude, I don't get me sometimes either. I thought I saw you in the Mastodon pit at the Gorge, since I was on the lookout for a Mariners hat. However, the dude I saw was shirtless, wearing baggy pants, and his hat was one of those overly gaudy type hats with multiple colors, and he was wearing it crooked. I decided it wasn't you, since my mental image of you doesn't include you being a total douchebag. Also, Thanks for renaming my Seattle specific sports thread by the way. No need to worry, Mariners thread soon to follow. We already have a Mariners thread: sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=links&action=display&thread=1428
