The Saints should be forced to change their name. Not so saintly after all.

I honestly would have come down even harder on the Saints, and I personally have nothing against them.
The NFL needs its star players in order to function and be profitable...with a team offering money to hurt these stars, I would have brought the ax down even harder seeing as these douchebags were trying to take from my multi-billion dollar business.

Not sure how much harder they can come down on the Saints. They haven't gotten to player discipline yet. They're probably going to lose some of their defense as well.

Yeah, suspending the coach for a full year seems appropriate. I completely agree that this behavior shouldn't be allowed to continue but the punishments here are a lot more than just a slap on the wrist.

Juniour Seau killed himself....holy shit.
The NFL is going to be a flag football league in 10 years. This is getting ridiculous.

Looks like drew if you put his head in one of those can smashers and only crushed it about a quarter of the way down.

A couple words on NFL refs...
You guys are the biggest idiots in the history of mankind, and I hope the replacements become permanent. Being an NFL referee and bitching about your salary is like winning the lottery, then complaining the 30 year annuity doesn't include a yearly pay increase and expanded retirement benefits. NFL referees work 17 days a year, yet they think they are underpaid because baseball umps who work 162 days a year have more lucrative contracts. Let me repeat, NFL REFS WORK 17 DAYS PER YEAR.
NFL players and fans will always bitch about refs, that will never change. This is why I'm surprised by the reaction from the media, being so critical of the replacements when they've done a fair job so far. The only difference is everyone is allowed to take shots at the replacements, and they are. Come on, a fourth time out rewarded to the Chickens which had zero to do with the outcome of the game was headline news? Replacements should be allowed to stop the clock to get the call right. Unfortunately, stopping the clock in that instance was the same thing as awarding the Chickens a fourth timeout. No harm, no foul. No yardage was gained or lost, and no team was given a greater advantage to win the game. What happens when the real refs return, they get less scrutiny while making comparably bad calls? That's exactly what's going to happen. "At least it wasn't a replacement making that non-call."
Note to replacements refs: "I hope you make at least half the wage the regular refs make, and I'll be cheering for you each additional week you get to work. I know death or retirement is the only way you folks get promoted. If you get enough games before a settlement is reached, you might be able to pay off your car loan, or take your family on a nice vacation."
