Just realized they are selling the Pelican Silverspot IPA (English Style IPA) in 6 packs. Rad! Love this beer. Also, a word on that Jackson Hole brewery I have been gushing over. I heard rumors that they are actually starting to contract brew at Skagit River Brewery. The influx of their beers was an attempt to enter the market. Well fucking done Thai Me Up Brewery (AKA Melvin Brewery). They just won an IPA challenge of over 40 IPAs in Bellingham. I think it worked.

I've been seeing a selection from Tamarack brewery on the shelves a lot lately. I didn't even realize it was brewed right up the road. Not too bad, but I'm not sure my taste for Amber Ale is what it used to be.

For some reason I am celebrating St. Patrick's Day with German beers...

I've only seen Iron Horse around the vicinity of the Gorge, and usually stop at a gas station and grab a couple. I was surprised to see them on the shelf at a grocery store in Montana. I didn't realize their distribution went very far. Irish Death seemed like a good fit for the holiday. Edit: They also had the High Five Hefe which is wheat, honey, ginger. That one was quite delicious.

Nice coordination of skulls! What album is that?

Nice coordination of skulls! What album is that? Deftones - S/T. Probably my least favorite Deftones album, but it's still got some great songs. It came with a Deftones vinyl bundle.

Deftones is one of those bands that I still have never really given a listen to. I know I should but it just hasn't happened yet.

Iron Horse seems to be expanding a bit cause I've been seeing it around here more too. Irish Death is a pretty decent beer too.

There's a Canadian beer called Ironhorse Strong Malt that is super cheap and super strong and super terrible so of course I drank a lot of it as a misspent youth and I always get confused when we drive past the Iron Horse brewery on the way to Sasquatch. Seriously though, this shit is really terrible.

Yesterday I went to the beginning of a Stone brewer's night in Bellingham. I was able to get in three pints before the fantasy baseball draft.
Enjoy By 4/20/2014 IIPA Go To IPA Russian Imperial Stout
All three of them are top notch beers. I pretty much always expect Stone beers to be delicious (other than Arrogant Bastard...never got into that one). The Enjoy By series is fantastic if you guys haven't tried any of them yet. The Go To IPA is a session IPA. Coming in at under 5% ABV it would be the perfect Sasquatch beer. I just have no idea where to get my hands on bottles of that one. The Russian Imperial Stout was FANTASTIC. Any of you stout fans out there should put that one on your wish list.

Found a can of the Fort George spring seasonal at Elizabeth Station today. It is a session IPA and it is a collaboration with Seattle's Suicide Squeeze Records. Super tasty. www.fortgeorgebrewery.com/suicidesqueeze/Edit: half way down with this beer and I think it is OK. The Stone Go To IPA was a much better session IPA.

The Lewis & Clark Prickly Pear Pale Ale is very smooth. Just the right amount of fruity.

That's a good beer! Almost the only good beer they make. I like that they can though.

Miner's Gold, their Hefe, is the most popular and it's actually decent, but I never thought it was anything to write home about. They have a stout that sucks, a porter that sucks, and a seasonal ESB that sucks.

I pout into a glass usually, but I'll admit that I like drinking out of bottles more than cans.

Trying out some Texas brews. The Chupahopra is pretty good, the Santo is ok, but not great.

Three new Bellingham breweries were at the Bellingham April Brews Day Festival this last weekend. Aslan Brewing, Wander Brewing and Gruff Brewing. Aslan and Wander have been marketing like crazy leading up to their opening days. Gruff seemed to be a home brew crew that was there because it was their hometown. I am curious about Gruff's intentions. Aslan is a certified organic brewery and I have been impressed with their Red and IPA. Wander dabbles in some styles that I am not into but I did like their Wee Heavy. Bellingham is slowly starting to resemble Bend in my opinion.

Bellingham resembling Bend can only be a good thing! I've been really excited to try out those new breweries too, hopefully I can get my hands on some when I'm up there this weekend!
