I purchased a pint of Black Diamond Pale Ale (out of California) and I couldn’t get more than 3 sips deep on that dirty fucking beer. I don’t normally like to bring negativity on any of my posts but DAMN that shit was nasty. Left the full beer sitting on the counter and proceeded to have some delicious Stone IPA at an alternate bar.

ATTENTION FRIENDS FROM CANADA: Phillips Brewing relabeled their Phoenix Gold Lager and made 30 cases of Bison Beer (named after the band Bison BC). If you happen to come across this beer please pick up an extra for your good old pal you haven’t met (yet). If you can’t get an extra, get one for yourself and take a pic I never ended up finding this but I'm saving you a bottle of this for Sasquatch!

Ounce for ounce, dollar for dollar, alcohol by volume for alcohol by volume, I think I can say for certain that Stone's "Enjoy By" IPA is the mostly finely crafted beer ever made.

Hahaha. Funny story about badchoices. He found me while I was standing near the Bigfoot stage at some point (drunk as fuck, go figure) and introduced himself as "Matt from the boards." Since It's been about a year since I first met him, and since I swear he had facial hair last time, I didn't recognize him as badchoices and instead thought I was meeting the user "matt" for the first time. This continued on for at least 10 minutes of BSing with each other until he finally said who he was. God damn did I feel stupid haha.

I did fuck up regarding the beer. I don’t know why I just assumed I would find you in that place. I guess I thought if I found any of the boarders I already knew you would be there too. Oh well, we better not wait until next May to have a beer.
Pea, that was very funny. That was my most drunk day and I was just hoping I wasn’t making a fool of myself. My wife said she made a fool of herself. She was trying to relate to people there talking about the internet and said she uses it for shopping online... haha. I met Weenie there. I can’t remember who we were waiting to see that day (Death Grips, Cody Chesnutt?). Last time I saw you was at WA brewers fest. Are you going this year?

All I remember is meeting you and your wife and then telling everybody all Sasquatch what a looker you were. I sure all the hipsters loved hearing it.

Hipster at heart. I just like looking like metalhead bro most of the time. And nahh probably won't be at the beer festival this year. I hated the layout last year at Marymoor

More Sasquatch attendees in general, many of whom could be described as hipsters. Dammit I made a typo up there and now it's forever commemorated in your quote!

Firestone Walker tap takeover yesterday at Copper Hog (BHAM). If any boarders (or lurkers) are into that brewery you better get down there before it is all gone! There were 10 different FIrestone Walker beers on tap. Delicious.

Found a great beer store near my new place , and finally tried some of the beers you guys always talk about. I bought this one on a whim because of the name: It's Hoparazzi - by Parallel if you couldn't tell. Has any one else had this...I kind of assumed it was an IPA based on the name, but it turned out to be a hoppy lager...or "India Pale Lager". I really enjoyed it as a "lighter" form of an IPA, thoughts?

I haven't had that beer before (actually haven't heard of the brewery before). India Pale Lagers are starting to get pretty popular. I have tried some that I really enjoy and others not so much. If you like that "lighter" form of an IPA you should keep you eyes open for session IPAs. There are a few breweries that can them (Two Beers out of Seattle may distribute to Canada but I am not sure). Also, if you are ever in Bellingham, Kulshan Brewery makes a delicious session IPA. Nice wax!

Phillips cans a session IPA that is quite tasty. I've never bought Hopparazzi but if you liked it I would suggest checking out their brewery. All the free samples you can handle and cheap growlers! Triumph and Victoria - parallel49brewing.com/

Parallel 49 is awesome. I've met one of the owners a few times (he runs St. Augustines on Commercial, which is a great place to try a bunch of craft beers). Try their Gypsy Tears Amber Ale, it's fantastic. Hopparazzi is really good as well.
If you go to visit the brewery then make a stop at Powell St Brewing. They are a very new nano brewery that just won some award and now people are going apeshit over their beer.

The Gypsy Tears is also great!
I've been looking for stuff to do on my days off, never thought about going to a brewery...I think this will be happening next set off.
I didn't buy the Hopparazzi because I dislike IPA's or anything, I misread the label and thought it was an IPA. I was just pleasantly surpirsed with the taste.
