Okay, okay, okay. So it isn't beer. We're too broke to buy the good craft beer stuff anymore. But can we have a moment of silence/talk about how amazing Two Buck Chuck/super cheap wine from Trader Joe's is? Because right now, it's a godsend.

For being a beer beginner, I'm already a snob. Just had a Coors for a test and got a terrible headache. Plus it tastes so vile that I didn't finish it.

I was super excited yesterday to see that the Co-op downtown had Lagunitas in stock. I've never seen it there before. Needless to say I picked up a 6-pack.

They only had the Pils, but I'm hoping they'll start stocking more. I made a point of commenting on it to the staff.

I use their Sauvingon Blanc to cook with since we never drink wine and it is only 2.49. In general Trader Joe's has a great selection of wine at really affordable prices.

Ugh every bar/restaurant I was at on vacation didn't have much for good beer. Luckily to my surprise they had clamato at most places and was able to have some beermatos. Makes shit beer infinitely more drinkable.

For being a beer beginner, I'm already a snob. Just had a Coors for a test and got a terrible headache. Plus it tastes so vile that I didn't finish it. Its funny because I feel like I've gone full circle. On my 21st bday, I thought I was making the coolest choice by grabbing my first legal beer at the gas station. It was Bud Select. Blech. Shortly thereafter, I started hanging with other beer snobs and I fell in love with the variety of flavors--chocolate, roasted coffee, vanilla, the subtle nutty beers. Ah. So good. I lived for a lovely high gravity imperial stout, brown ales and porters. But now that I'm rubbing pennies together and watching calories, (Did you know a can of Tin Fidy weighs in at 300 calories?) I've cut back, only allowing myself to have beer once a week (The aforementioned Two Buck Chuck fills in the other days) And most times, we're drinking Trader Jose beer at home, going to a show and sipping on High Life, or spending our Fridays at a local brewery ($10 for all you can drink of tasty beer!) So, I guess it isn't a complete full circle, but more of a cut back. Have fun with your discoveries, RoRo

Holy shit $10 for all you can drink? I feel like I would put them out of business.
