These are my two favorite posts of 2010, the first was directed at I8 i never uploaded it myself, i found it by searching the internet. you can too if you try hard enough. i already provided you a link once, and if you weren't such a fucking prick all of the time i would have been happy to send it to you personally. Consider me the guy who wanders into Jenny Craig drunk on Friday night, with the Craigers being files. I have low standards. I'll eventually end up with an STD, and get arrested for alimony, but it's the price you pay for not paying the price. Thanks,

I think the floods of posts that followed the wheelchair photo and the hipster reservation comment were entertaining as hell to read. I'm only listing these two events because all the rest of my favs have already been mentioned.

Stickin' it to doumak was probably as much fun as I've ever had here. Hey, though, he's still here! No hard feelings, doumak!
Thanks for making us all love P. the Man!

Since I have a lot to speak of, I'm just gonna go ahead and attempt to break the record for longest non-spam post in thread history. 1. One of the best things about this year has been the recent influx of action in this General Chat Forum. Just about a month ago, there was this transition of sorts, when everyone started wanting to get to know each other. Let's talk holidays, let's talk movies, and now the non-Sasquatch part of the board gets more action than the Sasquatch related portion (it being extremely evident today). The following thread was started this year by Mr. Lawnchair, and barely anyone noticed: sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=links&action=display&thread=4352. My first order of business as moderator was to delete a lot of spam that was infesting the board, remember those super long posts written in some strange computer language? I'll admit, my pet peeve on messages boards have always been spam, so I spent some time deleting the typical, "hello everyone, first post, check out this website. You can make $90K a year sitting on the toilet. Check it out." I got over my, "I am god," complex really quick, so I left a couple of the spam threads that were less annoying. There are a lot of pretty funny/sarcastic regulars here, so my thought was it would be more fun to see your reactions rather than delete the spam. We got Napolean Skywalker out of a spam post. Also, what made you smile today? This thread: sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=links&action=display&thread=6313. Fuck Kanye and fuck Vampire Weekend and fuck 2010 music. It's time to give the real (and deserved) props not to those who make music, but to those who post about music (and longboards). Many of us perhaps check in with this site more regularly than your Pitchforks and say your email because what started as simple avoiding and slight passive aggresiveness has resulted in missing other non I-am-trying-to-avoid-you-type-emails which has in turn resulted in a new-era sort of "techno social anxiety" on a Pavlovian scale where anything ending with mail.com or facebook has you on the floor with your knees tucked under your trembling chin and calling out for the very same "mommy!" you were passive agraessively avoiding in the first place, right? While there have been many times I have seemed quite the opposite of sunshine (moon opaque?) and gone on rants about offensive comments, racial slurs, sexist comments, and the like (I know, whats my deal?), I just want to say that at the end of the day I really enjoy this board and you all. As Gramma has pointed out, "Know your dealer!", I mean "It's the internet, relax". By that I mean, "relax after I have un-relaxed on you" Nice intro to a great thread idea, friendlybejar. I especially like the ending there. 4. And that guy way back at the beginning of the year who posted a lineup that none of us believed, then it turned out to be true. I remember typing my reply later quoted in this thread, and changing it right before posting because I didn't want to support a possible fake lineup posted on another board. Yeah yeah, shut up, you didn't know shit, however... I don't know if you guys know the history of CoS very well, but it was basically a couple web boarders just like ourselves from the Lollapalooza board who made a web site. It started out as more of reporting what other sites were saying, with very little original content. Then they got bigger, and set out to be the anti-Pitchfork, and started putting out a ton of original material. I don't know the average age of their employees over there, but I do know they were bragging about having the Sasquatch lineup the day before it was announced on several web boards, an act I found extremely childish. This is why I fully expected the lineup to be leaked early, but not a leak that would implicate CoS negatively. No, I don't know it was someone from CoS who created bigtitsmaghee, just speculation based on what I had previously witnessed. In other words, I believed bigtittsmaghee, because I at least knew there were a couple kids out there holding the lineup. And any lineup leak will be posted on the Coachella board first, just like it has every year. There are 50 of us on this board combing the internet for leaks, yet 5,000 on their board doing the same. They are always first. 5.Admittedly I laughed the hardest at this quote: KnowIdYuh , you should delete the last two words of this threads title. in reference to 'a record a day thread', which had a slow start, thanks to HG's cat. This was also one of the funnier posts I read this year. 6. The one unfortunate casualty seems to have been I8, who seems to have sought greener pastures when he realized that I've got him beat when it comes to bile while managing to be much more eloquent. I8 went away for a couple months earlier this year as well. I don't think it has anything to do with you. He'll be back. However, he did just move from Seattle to S.F., so Sasquatch is no longer a given for him. If there is a Outside Lands Message Board, he probably lives there. 7. Lumpy your funny and seem to keep a float above the bullshit really well i enjoy your posts Yes, Lumpy, I'm not sure I've ever read an offensive post, or seen you in a disagreement, or read a post that portrays even the slightest bit of anger. You even apologize when you think something might be considered offensive. It's pretty amazing to not feel the need to hate half the people you are hanging out with on web boards. Especially knowing you've never had your dick sucked, I would expect a personality closer to I8. 8. If I wasn't a moderator, most of those brutal and dismissive comments would've been from me. I know. I had this habit of taking huge dumps in the comments of know's blog, and then when I eventually registered at the board here I was like 'Oh shit, that fucker's the moderator.' Plus I was an antagonistic fuck for my first 100 posts or so. I can't help it, I have to bite my tongue just a little bit sometimes with Gunther because I know how good I am at ripping people to shreds and I don't want to hit the nerve of the guy with banning capabilities. For this single reason can I never truly win in an argument with him. For those who don't know, as pointed out above, Gramma and I already had a couple battles on the Sasquatch blog before he got here. That "oh shit, he's a moderator," comment made me laugh. At the same time, I was thinking, "great, not this fucking guy again." So I normally ignored him at first, giving you all a shot at battling him. After he beat up a lot of the regulars, I chimed in. I'll admit, I picked that Edward Sharpe fight out of boredom. The board was slow then, and the battle of wits kept me thinking. And if your last paragraph wasn't the biggest backhanded compliment? "Oh, I can't actually cut him down because he can ban me, that's why he wins arguments." Although I respect you much more than I did from our Blog days, you still don't scare me. 9. Peatrick's upside down schedule reply to I8 had me cracking up. I'll look for it, and quote it later. 10. These are my two favorite posts of 2010, the first was directed at I8 i never uploaded it myself, i found it by searching the internet. you can too if you try hard enough. i already provided you a link once, and if you weren't such a fucking prick all of the time i would have been happy to send it to you personally. I'll eventually end up with an STD, and get arrested for alimony, but it's the price you pay for not paying the price. Thanks, Thanks topspin, here I try to avoid the music piracy discussions, so Gramms doesn't come knocking on my front door with a crowbar (I should have never PM'd my address hoping for a mixtape). Then you provide a post where I claim to be the biggest piracy whore this side of the Mississippi. For the record, I do pay a monthly fee for music downloads. It is where I get most of my music, so the above post was a joke (googling "restraining order").

From Know in the Anti-You Tube thread
You were right, we were wrong. I was new to forums and it wasn't until my visits to other forums that I saw the absolute horror show unbridled vidoes, pics, and gifs could lead to. I now completely agree with major video posting all being contained to one thread (once in a while on other threads as long as it is on topic is fine by me too). Y'all have taught me so much about interneting (I'm actually pretty serious, half the time I have no idea what is being said). But I must also say, as Peatrick pointed out, that it is pretty impressive most of the videos stayed completely on topic.

I will post more on my 2010 year in review soon, but, for the record, when I say something like "knowing Toro Y Moi doesn't get my dick sucked nearly enough", it shouldn't be read as "I don't get my dick sucked." It should be read as, "Never have I mentioned knowing Toro Y Moi and had someone reply 'That's cool. Want a blow job?'" AKA When I get my "dick sucked," it is not because of who I know. =)

I've been meaning to comb through the last twelve months of this board and make a compendium of all the brutal and dismissive things you all said to me when I was the new guy. A lot of you - Peatrick and I8, obviously, but also stamper, Sword and many others - were more aggressive with me than I think I've seen since. Well, yeah, man -- that's because your first 100 posts were super abrasive and shat on things we collectively tend to agree upon. I swore up and down that you were a troll for months. In fact I'm 80% sure that I once asked know to just ban your dumb ass. (This is not permission to post that private message, Know, and I kindly request that you do not, if only because reading some of the posts I've made on this board is humiliating and I don't need to see any others.) I8 went away for a couple months earlier this year as well. I don't think it has anything to do with you. He'll be back. However, he did just move from Seattle to S.F., so Sasquatch is no longer a given for him. If there is a Outside Lands Message Board, he probably lives there. I moved to San Francisco in July 2009 and made it to Sasquatch this year. Maybe I can make it again... As for my disappearances, I mentioned this in another thread -- law school is a terrifying mistress. Peatrick's upside down schedule reply to I8 had me cracking up. I'll look for it, and quote it later. This was HILARIOUS.

I believe you thought he was the lawnchair guy, and publicly accused him of being that guy (since he arrived right at about the time lawnchair guy left).
