Thank you. I assumed it must be something very similar to the great legend of Dewey Cox. I suppose I could've researched it myself.

I'm always amazed that none of Conor's fans know this but I do.

That's because you're a creepy Oberst stalker and we all know it.

I'm always amazed that none of Conor's fans know this but I do. Let me clarify that I'm not a fan. I'm also not an anti-fan as you are. I am indifferent, pretty much. Other than I don't want him to play Sasquatch and possibly steal a spot from someone I want to see

Gramma should start a "wrong kid died," chant during the Bright Eyes show (assuming they are on the lineup). There will no doubt be a lot of frat boys there, and they love chanting, so they'll join in without knowing what it means.
You've posted some pretty cool stories in the past. Don't you think making Conor Oberst cry would top that list?

That would undoubtedly be worth spending a precious Squatch hour watching Bright Eyes. Someone just gots to agree to hold Switch back while we do this thing.

Tell everyone around you, "Wrong Kid Died," is one of their greatest songs, and they only play it live when the crowd asks for it.

it's entirely possible. there were over 20,000 people doing the 'teen wolf' last year for All My Friends. Getting a mass quantity of people chanting 'WRONG KID DIED!' is a possibility.

and i know Horned has been going about this forever... but is there any hard evidence that proves that his brother did actually drown? is it possible the Conor Oberst thing is just another one of those Phil Collins 'In the Air Tonight' kinda rumors?

From a 1998 interview (holy crap that was a long time ago) and yep, this text is a linkOberst, by the way, didn't have a brother who drowned. "A lot of the stuff I write is sort of other people's stories or things that might not necessarily happen to me but float around in the back of my head," he said. "It tends to be the sad songs that come out most often. I try to write different moods, but the hardest songs to write are of complete joy, because I don't get to that point very often. Songs that relate an experience – not complete devastation or joy, but real feelings – I think are the best."
