Just watched "The Beaver" with Mel Gibson, that was interesting. Edit: meow watching: We're the Weakerthans, We're from Winnipeg... it's really great , if you like that band.( also there is a guy named Rusty in the film) Shaw on demand, for the Canadians, the for free shit is cool. U Know Wat I Mean? ?? Oh boy. I gotta start locking my computer up before I head out for the night so I don't come home and spill gibberish all over this place.

The Descendant's was probably the second best movie I saw last year. Since Tree of Life has no actual chance of winning best picture at the oscars, I'm pulling for The Descendants

The Descendant's was the best movie I saw this year, although I don't see nearly enough movies to even justify that statement. But I really loved it.

The Vow looks so saccharine and cheesy, I have no choice but to see it when I'm in a Kleenex, sweatpants and pint of ice cream mood.

Liam Neeson punching wolves is exactly as awesome as you think it would be. The Grey was totally bad ass.

Okay I see what all the fuss is about meow (M. E. O. W.). What a big fuss that was! So much fuss. Holy shit, I'd seen them back in 2004 and it was a great show and the lights were even pretty sweet (or so I thought the lights were sweet, back when I was just a tiny little baby who didn't know what real Chemical Brother lights really were like). Outstanding. Obviously the lights are like, whoa, and then they are like, baahh, followed by lots of, zoom zoom zoom, but as impressive as they were (they were very impressive!) I absolutely loved the flow of the set. What a pro DJ set! Undoubtedly unquestionably unseasonably(?) the best dance set my tender young ears have ever heard. Fuck all you guys who got to see that last year ;D
Plus I got to see Souly!!!!!!! Hope you Calgary dudes loved it as much as we did.

Short version (speaking for myself, but I doubt anyone else will disagree) FUCK YES. I had a hard time sitting still. When they started playing the mix that included "Leave Home" right near the end, I was soooooo tempted to start dancing.

And we actually discussed whether anyone met up with Souly over beers after. I'm pretty sure I said something like "unless Friendly D joined her, I suspect she went alone". Sorry I doubted you Friendly D, I didn't think it was something you would go to.

Fuck that was such a sweet movie. I will honestly never forget that. I will probably dream of crazy clowns and robots and horses for weeks. I'm so happy I went to that. It was unlike anything I have seen before.
I'm just in the best mood from it. I finally met up with FD and that was sweet! The movie was amazing, and I get to get drunk with you people tonight for the lineup release. I'm so excited for Coachella and Sasquatch and I love all of you awesome people.

BROTHERS WORKED IT OUT!!!!
Haha, that was great. Brought back some awesome memories from the show and it was great to see the "extended" set that we didn't get to see. What an unbelievable show.
I mentioned it to the guys after the movie, but holy shit, I really hope I am never in the crowd when someone is taping an EDM concert. Some of the crowd reaction shots are HILARIOUS. My favorite was the terrified woman when the clowns came on. That was gold.

Do we have to make me jealous about board friendships in every thread?

Do we have to make me jealous about board friendships in every thread? You know, like I do, if we all lived in the same general vicinity it would be different. I guess I'm still somewhat of a hypocrite though as I'm known to hang out with Cat and Stamps on occasion.

Yes! Very sweet and engaging. Even worth paying for it at a hotel. My goodness you pay for convenience.

My sister and I rented Drive last night, and it was not at all what we expected. She picked it because of Ryan Gosling (she's 18), but we were not expecting him to be a bad ass in it! I really enjoyed it and it kept me interested the entire movie. Gosling was great in it and I would definitely watch it again. Tonight I'm going to pick up Ides of March. The preview for it played before the movie last night, and it looks like a gooder!

I'd be hard pressed to find a movie which left me with more of a "what the fuck was the point of this" feeling than The Ides of March.
