Yeah, I really liked both of them until last night. My girlfriend said, "this is more awkward than watching The Office"

Oh, and as far as natalie portman goes... I'm more partial to Keira Knightley. Gotta disagree with ya, love. Portman excels at all facets--class, talent, beauty, etc. Though they do kind of look alike, I can't dare to compare a Bend it Like Beckham or a Jane Austen film resume with an actress who has gracefully mastered challenging roles in films like Black Swan or V for Vandetta. I'll admit--Portman has seen her share of awkward roles, such as Queen Padame or whatever in that Star Wars film that never should have happened, but she certainly has grown into a very classy, brilliant actress. Knightly still has some growing to do, IMO.

Pride and Prejudice was a masterpiece and should have won best picture that year, and she was also in Atonement and Never Let Me Go, two excellent movies. I'd say it's damn near even as far as bodies of work go.

Pride and Prejudice was a masterpiece and should have won best picture that year seriously?

I just think she looks so good in period costume. So, so good. I wasn't talking about acting ability with my original post...
