Man and that article made me even more depressed. I knew these things already, but fuck, reading them all in one sitting was hell.

You have no idea how bad I want to go see Battles. Doug Fir hates young people though.

Dokken (Tonight - Anchorage) Rose Hill Drive (4/7/11 - Anchorage) I saw Fitz & the Tantrums last night and they are amazing. I am so in love with Noelle Scaggs. She sure knows how to handle a tambourine.

Doug Fir hates young people though. dirty little secret I didn't learn till I was 21: I love the doug fir, probably my favorite portland venue The Fir is the one venue in Portland you can take someone to regardless of who is playing, just to show them how awesome the place is. I live within walking distance now, so I'm going to be there a lot this summer. There is also something neat about saying, "Sasquatch 2012 headliner Fleet Foxes, yeah, I saw them at the Fir back in the day." With as many shows as Geno goes to, I'm guessing he's been there before. All ages shows there are pretty rare, but they exist, and they suck.

Totally, Doug Fir is probably my favorite venue in town. We saw of Montreal there back in the day; yeah that sucked.
However, it's just the right size for a lot of bands that I love the very most: we saw Optiganally Yours there and that was one of the best nights of my life. We saw Clem Snide there and it turned me into jelly. We saw Michael Penn there and he commented on how it looks like the Black Lodge in Twin Peaks. It's creeped me out ever since.

And Gunther god DAMN it if you start speculating about next year's lineup already I'm going to set your hair on fire.

I didn't know they had any all ages show. Whenever I see a band I want to see playing at the Doug Fir, I just say "fuck" and go do something else. On the bright side, I got one more year until I'm 21 <3

On the bright side, I got one more year until I'm 21 <3 Occasionally bands will do the early/late thing like the Holocene did for you the other night. I've seen it be a two night thing, with an all ages one night, and 21+ the next. I know the Thermals did that within the last couple years. The free MusicFestNW live broadcasted shows are all ages. I say the all ages shows suck, because all ages there means no booze for anyone. Their website is pretty good at announcing shows will be all ages. They change the size/color/font or something, so it is very clear.

I think andimac is the only other board member that lives in the Pullman/Moscow area like me, but if there is anyone that lives here, happens to be in the area, or if there are any lurkers from this area then you should go to John's Alley tonight and tomorrow. Handful of Luvin' from Seattle is playing tonight and tomorrow for Mardi Gras. You might be turned off by their name and you might go to their Myspace and think "these guys are not my style" but dammit you need to listen to me about this. They are one of the most fun bands to see at a small bar. They're very high energy and will have you dancing in no time. TRUST ME......I'll even buy you a beer. Win-win situation.

I will take my wife out on a nice date tomorrow before the concert I just promoted and I will get the cilantro soup. I've only been to Sangria once so its about time I give it another try.

Yeah, I usually wouldn't try to sell anyone on a concert but I live in Pullman and I get damn excited when a good concert comes my way. They are few and very far between.

You going to springfest for Luda, yo? That's not my scene. I'd probably go if it were free like Springfest used to be, but I'm not going to pay $30 for Ludacris. No way. I'm not a student anymore so it's $30!
