Guessing you decided against Sasquatch, Nick? Yeah, by the time ticket prices went down anywhere near a reasonable level I had work obligations.

I don't want to say too much but I will say that Battles are making people aware of the fact that they've reissued the EPs and that this has influenced my decision to eat an extra chip before the show.

The post-squatch depression has subsided a bit and I think I've talked myself out of flying to either Chicago or Atlanta to see The Cure again. But, as a compromise with myself, I think I'm going to go on Stubhub and buy overpriced tickets to Sigur Ros at the Paramount on 9/20.

If you can still afford to pay bills and eat, why wouldn't you go see the Cure in Chicago? Ten years from now, "I was so unsatisfied with the short Cure set at Sasquatch that I flew to Chicago to see them," will be a much better story than, "I was so unsatisfied with the short Cure set at Sasquatch that I almost flew to Chicago to see them."

I agree; that would be a much better story. It's just the whole still being able to pay my bills and eat thing that might be a problem. Not to mention leaving my job and kids again after I just spent 4 days at a music festival. So, while it would be a great story and might even be theoretically possible, it would be horribly irresponsible and would probably lead to more regrets.

Tickets to Sigur Ros at the Paramount confirmed. See you dudes there. Mind-blowing new light show set up at Primavera!!!! I saw some videos of it. Honestly, I was a little skeptical when I heard they were leaving the strings and horns home and just touring as a three piece. I expected them to be more stripped down and didn't think they would carry the same grand emotional weight. But after seeing this videos and reading the near unanimous opinions that they were the best show at Primavera, I knew I had to go no matter what it cost.
