Holy shit I didn't even think of that.... I was just sitting here trying to figure out where the hell I could go see him....I may just wait now. GAH EDIT: Thanks Pea, back to travel planning I'm really sad that I will more than likely miss this show, but Sasquatch has to be the priority. Womp, if he doesn't end up playing Coachella you could make the trip to Winnipeg. He's playing there on May 31. It would make for a long week, but it's doable. Ugh, I don't know what I'm going to do. I think my plan right now is just to wait it out until the Coachella announcement. I've been kicking myself for missing the Dark Side tour a couple years ago, I really don't want to miss this one.

Fuck, the Vancouver, Seattle and Edmonton shows are all the Sasquatch weekend. Theres no way he would do two weekends at Coachella and then play LA a month later...would he? GAAAAAHHHHHHH Here is my two cents. Everyone in the state of California who wants to see the Wall live (and missed it the first time around) will physically own a Roger Waters ticket in two weeks. The Coachella lineup isn't announced for another three months, so most of the people who actually want to see Roger Waters will be disappointed if he is on the lineup. Think about it from the festival's perspective. They are trying to sell twice as many tickets next year, so even if Roger Waters is on the lineup, there would have to be a clause in the contract stating he can't announce those California dates until after Coachella sells out. Even if he is at Coachella, the second the lineup is announced, his southern California tickets sales will stop, because there will be more people wanting to unload the tickets than people wanting to buy, so it's a bad idea for him as well. Solution, purchase your tickets to a show, then sell them in the unlikely event that he is at Coachella.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I really can't see Roger Waters happening at Coachella.
I am eyeing that San Fran date on May 11th because I was planning on doing a baseball trip down there sometime next year, and that would line up perfectly...
Also like a couple people mentioned before, hitting up Seattle and then heading out to Sasquatch would be a pretty good idea too...
Ah well, tickets don't go on sale for another two weeks. I'll figure something out by then.

Maybe the Seattle date will help me dry my no-Sasquatch tears. Maybe not...

You arent the only one, there are people offering $100/ticket for the vancouver show on craigslist and face value is 25 bucks. Of the 8 tickets I have only 5 are going to people who really want to come and the other 3 are just people who are kinda interested or girlfriends. I almost want to sell those 3 tickets for face value to the people offering so much just because I know they would enjoy that show a hell of a lot more than some of the people coming with. But a deal is a deal and I said they were theirs if they wanted them.

Not a lot of people selling M83 tickets in Portland, and I'm stuck needing an extra. Karma never seems to be on my side.

Did they play anything off of their older albums or was it primarily stuff off of saturday=youth and hurry up, we're dreaming? Also, speaking of upcoming shows, I'm going to SnowGlobe Music Festival on Dec 29-31st in South Lake Tahoe. Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, and Thievery Corporation are the headliners and there are still 40+ artists still to be announced. Early bird tickets are only $100 and I already have a car full of people ready to go. So stoked!

Dammit TMBG and GWAR are in Vancouver next week and I have to miss both of them because work decided to fly me to the tip top of BC for the week because something exploded. Ahh well at least I will be back for the 1-2 punch of Arkells and M83 Friday and Saturday nights.
(this post makes a lot more sense if you read by the last 100 posts where GWAR and TMBG came up in other threads)

Oh so they did cancel, I thought alex said they were still playing the edmonton show so I figured they were trucking on. Makes perfect sense they need to cancel, mostly because of the emotional factor but I cant imagine it would be easy to find a replacement at the drop of a hat either.
Even though I hardly listened to their music, it's still a sad day.

Even though it is much easier than you think to find a replacement, I'm with Davers here. Alex said they were continuing on in the general music thread, but Empty is saying they are cancelling. What's going on?
I caught them for the first time a year ago, and had a fucking blast. I was planning on attending next week, but figured they would cancel.

Nothing will ever top their show with Dying Fetus the year after 9/11. All kinds of Bin Laden, George Bush, Paris Hilton, and Michael Jackson decapitations and disembowelments. PLUS DYING FUCKING FETUS OPENING FOR THEM.

I don't think I saw DYING FUCKING FETUS opening though.
