I did get a really cool t-shirt out of it, but it got destroyed in a flood. Now all I have is memories of running into my ex-girlfriend with her new husband on the steps of the venue.

I should add that in 2002 I was only 16 and just getting into cool music...that probably tainted my memories of the show. All I know is the two times I've seen beck since then he relied on unnecessary hype men and puppets. His older albums are still damn good but the man seems to have lost the passion to perform

I saw Beck on the Odelay tour, the Midnite Vultures tour, a solo acoustic show for Mutations, the Sea Change tour, the Guero tour and the Information tour. Sea Change was by far the worst of those shows.
Olivia Tremor Control opened the Odelay show; that was a fun one. Valentine's Day 1996... Which I guess is a couple months before Odelay came out, but he promoted the hell out of that one.
edit: the Vultures tour, though... That was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Holy shit what a show. So yeah, by the time Sea Change was happening I just wasn't havin' the bored, lazy Beck because I know what he can do.

They seem to have a country-ish artist every year...Do I hear any support for Jamey Johnson?

Sasquatch is located in the heart of a 650,000 acre farm. ALL the water at Sasquatch comes via an irrigation district. Country music has been represented the last couple years (Avetts in '09 and Drive by Truckers in '10); who will be the representative this year? I would like to see Jamey Johnson, but it is doubtful to me that Sasquatch will invest so much to have such a great artist. Hope I clairfied...

You hear a small amount of support for Jamey Johnson from me.
I'm not nuts about those headliners, but I'm never nuts about the headliners. I haven't seen Beck since 2004 or so, and don't like his new stuff. But he has a new album.
And Pavement rocked.

Pavement sucks. Pavement sucked.
If you guys liked that set, you should check out the Emperor's new clothes.

I was going to post a clip of Emperor's New Groove, but I couldn't find a good one, so just imagine I did.

I could also go for Steve Earle as a country genre representative.

I couldn't have cared less about Pavement playing last year...I'm just not a fan. I will say though, I was drunk as shit when they played and fucking loved what I heard/saw.
On the "country" topic, I wouldn't really call the Avett Brothers country, but I guess you can sort of lump bluegrass and country and all that southern fried stuff into the same category. I would honestly love to see either Ryan Bingham or Lucero in the lineup this year. Both have released new stuff within the last year or so and have been rather active.

I would have loved to see that Midnight Vultures tour. After Beck puts out a couple stinkers and becomes musically insignificant, his fortunes dwindled, the crowds shrinking dramatically, I hope he decides to play classic albums from his catalog in their entirety. I will pay a lot of money to see Midnight Vultures.
And since we were guessing headliners a couple pages ago, how about this one:
Foo Fighters - Friday Usher - Saturday Coldplay - Sunday Kings of Leon - Monday

Pavement just wrote SO MANY good songs that watching them stumble their way through them was incredible. It was like being at a basement jam session with Guided by Voices, or something, just imperfect, raw, and personal. I loved every moment of it, and I love every Pavement album significantly.
Fuck, dude, reunited GBV headliner, that's my new ballsy pick, replacing REM.
