Waking up and rereading the line up.
Being terrified of teaching my sociology class about Biopower and The Pharmacracy and how it impacts drugs in a societal content because I was horridly hung over and killing it.

Is biopower and the pharmocracy better than Ted Leo and the pharmacists? Are we missing out this year?

It's a theory by this guy Thomas Szasz (his name reminds me of something Bill Cosby would say). Basically, medicine and politics have developed an alliance which keeps them both on power. Of course, this is an extreme over simplification.

Fish and chips, ordering a delicious Zeeks pizza, drinking Ruination IPA, watching my favorite TV shows and napping and snuggling with my puppy for like 2 hours. =)

Womp! You may very well be winning my coveted "Favourite Canadian of the Year" award this year, assuming we do in fact get to dance at at least one show.

Also making me smile today: reading Michel Foucault's work.
This dude was one of the craziest mofos to ever be considered a academic and as such, has given me hope that an individual who once stumbled around the Gorge wrapped in police caution tape has the ability to strike out into academia and leave some sort of lasting mark.

Although you better believe Columbia hasn't been going to any lengths to contact me :shakefistatRo: If it makes you feel better, they will probably take back their request. I have blown off this quarter pretty badly.

Foucault is the shit dude. EDIT: Should be mandatory reading in junior high/high schools.

The thought of trying to explain to the PTA that their special little snowflakes are reading the works of a man who's field research included anonymous homosexual intercourse in san Fran public bathrooms makes me all giddy inside.
