Looks like a good spot to jump in for a soak. Do you know if there are any good access points for the river around there?

oh heck ya. right where I-90 crosses over the river, take a right where the road splits and follow that down a few miles. right in front of the old getty's cove campground is an awesome bridge that you can jump off of and rocks that you can climb down into the river from. great swimming spot!

Hello everyone. I'm a four year Bonnaroo veteran from Baltimore, but after seeing the lineups I've decided to make the switch to Sasquatch this year. I just booked everything for myself and a buddy to hang in Seattle for a couple nights and then camp at the Gorge for the weekend. I'm pretty damn excited. I need some advice from people that fly and then rent a car to the Gorge. Do you pack sleeping bags, tents, pillows, etc. for the plane trip? I've always been a light flyer and I'm not sure how difficult it would be to haul all of this across the country. Any advice on the process of flying, renting a car, and then camping would be awesome. I've done some searching and haven't found much on this so I apologize in advance if this has been discussed a hundred times before. Thanks!

This will be my first Sasquatch as an out-of-stater, so I'm kind of in the same boat. My girlfriend and I have family/friends in Seattle, though, so we'll probably be picking up some materials there... Packing is really up to you. Depending on how big your tent is, you could reasonably pack your clothing/toiletries in a small bag/backpack and carry that on, while packing your tent/sleeping bag/etc in a larger suitcase and checking that. Alternately, there's an REI in Seattle that I've used several times to rent tents and stuff. They're always super helpful, and reasonably priced. Welcome to Sasquatch.

Welcome to the board Gary Williams. I hope your boys beat up on the Dukies tonight. Duke has got to be the most overrated team this year.

Well thank you. I know Vasquez will bring his A-game on senior night and we will come out victorious. Coach K the ratface will not be pleased.

how strict are they about underage drinking? and how tough is it to sneak alcohol into the festival? i'm assuming that it wont really be an issue at the campsite...

campsite isn't a problem at all. like i've said, vodka in the water bottle is your best friend. i went through some bizarrely creative measures to sneak vodka inside the venue inside factory sealed water bottles and they didnt even check to see if the seals had been broken anyway. so it isnt a huge issue really.

They can get pretty militant about checking wristbands. Sneaking in alcohol has been discussed.

I would say if you are in the middle of the lawn with a beer your friend bought you then you'll be fine for the most part. Not sure about sneaking stuff in, I would just use your head and be discreet. Same thing about when you are drinking it.

I've heard some talk on this board about the food at the venue being limited. Can anyone fill me in on this situation? At Pemeberton there was quite a lot of vendors to choose from, and the food at Coachella is awesome. Just wondering what the options are?

It's okay, but for christ sake, definitely not worth the money.
For this reason, all I remember was the one thing I tried, $7 small little carton of chicken fingers.

Yeah I guessed it would be pricey! But do you remember anything about the variety of vendors, like is there bunch of different restaurant vendors with trailers or is it like a general concession. Just wondering because the tickets were my birthday present from my girlfriend and she said she would splurge on some eats inside the gorge for me, so I might as well milk it for all its worth;)
