This will be my first time going to this style of festival, and leaving my own province (BC) for. I really like the line up! I wish Chromeo was coming back again, I love them.. But guys, seriously, DON'T MISS SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO! Banging electro/techno.. so good! I just hope they have their awesome light show that goes along with it. They would definitely have to play at night time for this to work.
Also stoked to see Booka Shade, Massive Attack! Kid Cudi, Z-Trip and A-Trak!! YES!! I'm a DJ, and I love both of them. I just hope A-Trak plays some Electronic music like the stuff he's been producing lately and not a hip hop act.
I hope they add more dance/electronic acts, but I'm pretty satisfied with what is there either way!

They probably will play at night, but even if they dont they will be inside the Rumpus Room which is a very large tent, acts had led lighting setups last year and they still looked good inside the tent during the day

Ugh can we please not call it the Rumpus Room? It's such a legitimately... stupid name.

I intend to continue to call it "Shea Stadium."

Just thought of a possible great moment (that really depends on when's Pavement next date is after Sasquatch), Stephen Malkmus joining Quasi for a Jicks song or something of that sort.

The lineup is sick, but I definitely think we will see more dj's added. Especially after looking at the stage schedule. Oh and I find it a bit odd that Deadmau5 is playing Wookie Stage. It'll be rad nonetheless.

Super stoked for My Morning Jacket!!!! Those who have yet to experience a MMJ show will have their minds blown.
Wish we had time to spend the entire weekend there, unfortunately we are only going for the saturday.

Oh and I find it a bit odd that Deadmau5 is playing Wookie Stage. It'll be rad nonetheless. I was way pissed that Girl Talk was playing (a) outdoors (b) before sunset last year. It's definitely a bizarre choice. Whatever, I went anyway and drunkenly danced like a fool. Fun times.

For me this is the best modern music line up I've seen in a while. And considering the setting and size, I'd pick this over any cochella (though daft punk would be nice). I think the headliners are brilliant and really tie the whole schedule together. In the past I've felt the headliners were still big (NIN, Beasities...) but they are more so bands that everyone knows (many great songs form radio, movies, tv) All three of these headliners have gained a mass following primarily based off of their live shows, which is a totally different experience and sometimes sound from their albums. I find many indie bands struggle with bringing that "special" presence to their live show that is not simply a repeat of their cd on stage or they rely on shenanigans, which is fun, but not the same. Usually I do Bonnaroo (as I like to have a little more variation with blues, bluegrass, jam, and world) but these are prob some of my favorite modern heavyweights, plus let's see what Pavement has to give us, even if they bombed it will still be like chilling out to the world's loudest ghetto blaster only instead of being in my house from 1995 I will have a better view.

Saturday is going to be a clusterfuck at the end of the evening. I really don't want a Z-trip/MMJ conflict, but it looks like it might happen. Oh, and welcome to the board Friendlydestroyer.

Good post Friendly. I believe we are quite like-minded in our musical tastes. I have never been to Bonnaroo, however I have always been entertained by the thought. I have instead gone to Sasquatch or Pemberton, out of convenience and because I've always enjoyed going with lots of friends (that wouldn't otherwise commit to a flight for a concert). This year I don't have to worry about it, as I am thrilled with the line-up (perhaps moreso than Bonnaroo), and will only be disappointed by having to make choices between numerous conflicts.

Totally interested on everyone's take after seeing Massive Attack and Ween in such a beautiful looking place.

IMO Massive Attack, My Morning Jacket, Ween, and Pavement are way more exciting than KOL(the worst), Janes, NIN (love the guy and his show, but unless it's something special and one off like 'roo last year, too structured for a fest imo) and Ben Harper(nope!)
People have already mentioned this, but I don't think Sasquatch has ever had bands like this who are only as big as they are from mind blowing festival/live sets and have such hard core fan bases (Not a lot of middle ground with these, except Pavement, either you've seen 'em and love them and want more and bigger or you've yet to see them). This is great at a fest, instead of a crowd that looks more like a giant iPod playlist (buzz bands, name checking reunions (hello Coachella)...) you will see way more of an identity, trust me you will know who a Ween fan is:) I like this, many times I have gotten into bands I thought I never would, kinda took being in the mix of it to really "get" what the band is all about. Every one knows (to a decent degree) Beck, Ben Harper, KOL, Beasties, NIN... but you are gonna have entire Ween and MMJ camps this year (that might sound off setting), what I mean is the excitement will be big and beyond just the "name", these are muthafuckin' performances about to go down. I also think there will be waaayyyyyyy more drugs this year.
I've always found Sasquatch way more intriguing than Coachella, better setting and a better acts for the size of the fest. This year is no exception imo. Coachella, if you've ever been, is poorly set up (stage-wise, hard to get around, hard to see), stacked with name checking acts (Faith No More? Love Mike Patton and all, but hate how "whoa they're on the fucking Coachella lineup, that makes no sense, I'm totally there these guys are so goddamn good, gonna be fucking epic!!!" says a kid wit a mustache, born in 1990 and has no idea he's actually made quite the pun. It's like cuz they put it down on the lineup it becomes Gosspel that these kids have been asking for, like, years to have a FNM reunion, I mean it's a once in a life time opportunity to see a band that only shows its face when someone pulls out the dolla bills! Then there is Muse, "I thought we hated Muse, my brother says they hear it on the radio and warm up to it at their Lacross games?" "Dude Lacross is fuckin' ironic and Muse is the tits! Coachella baby!!!" And then there is Sly and the Family Stone, just the way you've always wanted to see them-sandwhiched right in between Spoon and Infected Mushroom, huray!!!! And really hope David Guetta jumps on with Them Crooked Vultures and blows the desert away a "Tonight's Gonna be a Good Night" collab, Tonight's the NIGHTTTTT!

I didn't even realize I wanted The Jesus and Mary Chain Back together until I saw it on the lineup, thanks Coachella. I especially didn't realize I needed some ScarJo in the mix as well - Hip bands and Sexy actresses, together on the same stage where the fuck is my cocaine and blackberry, ya'll gonna hear about this bitches! somewhere in brooklyn or in a place that wishes it was brooklyn.... "Tiesto sucks" "No man they're on the Lineup!" "What? Soooooo excited im gonna b trippin balls left and right, what do rave kids do again? I think I need to go and buy glow sticks or something" "Is ecstasy just cocaine but you smoke it" "No my brother told me you drink some evey hour, but he hates me, plus you smoke cocaine and like, doesn't work or something" "'k so like, let's drink some ecstasy-" "Let's drink ecstasy and cocaine together to get super high" "I think if we poured some glow stick into the cocaine ecstasy drink it might even be better" "I Love Coachella"
