What happened to The Presidents? I went to sasquatchfestival.com/2008/ and the line us said that The Presidents would be playing. Now if you go back they are not listed.

The Presidents of the United States of America are definately no longer on the line up it would appear. It wasn't a huige grab for me, but I was looking forward to singing along with "Peaches."

Why would they pull out hours after the release? Strange.

Probably the same thing as with Madness at Coachella.
Sasquatch probably put them on the lineup without a solid confirmation from them.

That would suck. I was looking forward to seeing them. Oh well, many others to see.

They'll probably show back up later, it may be a matter of them wanting to hold the band in reserve or some problem occuring.

Yeah, I emailed the festival and they said to keep checking because they haven't heard about any changes. I asked them 3 times if, in fact, the Presidents would be playing. They kept emailing me "Keep checking the site". Don't know why they couldn't tell me yes or no.

I hate to say it, but they may be out. Their myspace has them in Europe in both mid April and end of May..

Ya, I noticed that they are still listed on ticketmaster, and their website says they are back in the US for some of May, but playing in France the weekend after Sassquatch. I sure hope their there, I would really like to see them live.

I think they're waiting until after their Seattle show this Saturday to announce. It's not sold out yet, and they probably want to avoid people skipping it because they'll be going to Sasquatch.

Presidents are definitely playing, and if you haven't seen them recently check out some reviews of their shows - especially this one from LA where Weird Al and Wayne Kramer from the MC5 - theroxyonsunset.com/still-the-presidents-after-all-these-years/ - definitely one of the best live bands playing the festival, their Seattle album release party was crazy and their new is awesome. Check out the new Presidents of the USA campaign site - www.PUSA2008.org
