Toyota has done the same exact thing at bumbershoot multiple times in the past and I assume at other festivals. I attended a few of them at bumbershoot and if it's the same thing, I wouldn't be too worried about a maximum occupancy. The way it was set up at bumbershoot, the tent was open on 3 sides so anyone could just walk up and see the set although it might be hard to see depending on how large a crowd the artist draws.

That one at Bumbershoot where I smoked a literal ton of weed by myself in the middle of the tent while Bradford Cox spun chunes from the '50s + Death Grips was AWESOME.

After I replied to Toyota on Twitter about their music tent, they messaged me today about wanting to give me an "amazing gift" and they are hooking me up with VIP wristbands, a $50 Uber gift card, and food/beverage coupons for the event. I just hope they arrive before I have to leave Friday morning. They said they are shipping them out overnight right now, so we'll see.

Hello everyone,
I am hearing information that this year is the last Sasquatch Music Festival. They only sold 55% of tickets and are planning on not running it again. This is extremely sad news for me to hear and I'm sorry I have to share it with you all. I feel very fortunate that I got to attend this festival before it came to end, it truly is the most beautiful and amazing place I've ever experienced. To all of you that are there now enjoy your last day because it's looking like this might be the last one ever. Take in every minute of it!

I just want to say that SUFJAN STEVENS WAS SO GOOD and that Todd Terje live remix of "Wanna Dance With Somebody" has been stuck in my head since he played it.

I think Todd has to be my favorite set of the weekend. Also loved that he played some Whitney and that one water drip he put in his set was perfect lol

I really doubt they would have made the decision to cancel the next festival already. If any discussion was had, I would imagine it was more like "if tickets sales are this bad again next year, we might have to cancel." And 55% seems like a very low number. I know it was far from full, but it was definitely more than half full.

I also just want to say that Grimes > Sufjan > Florence was quite possibly the best ending to a festival day ever, especially considering that I was able to get at least a little bit of Titus Andronicus, King Gizzard, Kurt Vile, and Caribou before, during, and after them. Florence was so much better than I even expected, probably one of my top 5 Sasquatch headline performances of all time.

Yesterday was one of my favorite days of Sasquatch ever. Overall I experienced more struggles than in previous years, but I definitely had my share of wonderful moments as well. By far the best group of people I've ever camped with, and the crowd was so god damn full of excellent and weird party animals. Looking forward to 2017!

If any discussion was had, I would imagine it was more like "if tickets sales are this bad again next year, we might have to cancel." And 55% seems like a very low number. I know it was far from full, but it was definitely more than half full. Exactly. Even if they lost a bunch of money they still wouldn't make the final decision to cancel for months. There's no reason to make that decision while the festival is still going on. Take a step back over the summer, re-evaluate your strategy and see if you can find a way to make it work. I'd point to what Squamish did this year. They went past the time they usually release the lineup and in theory were trying to throw together a lineup but in the end decided they couldn't make it work. At the very least Sasquatch will try to book some acts, maybe sell some presale tickets (though I think that's a bad idea) and see what they can possibly pull off. Overall I really enjoyed the smaller crowds and the lack of bros. Sunday was a bummer with all the cancelled shows but I guess they can't really be blamed for that. My only major complaint is what I've been saying for months; the price. That experience just isn't worth the cost. Granted I paid roughly $350 Canadian for my wristband and camping and I was cool with that, but I would not have been super pleased to pay $200 more than that. For this fest to survive they are going to need to figure out a way to put together a decent lineup without charging Coachella prices, because for the last time, Sasquatch isn't Coachella.
