You guys are kidding, right? The package you receive your wristband in, for all the bells and whistles attached, is still just your ticket to get into the event. That is the product, not what you get in the mail. I for one would prefer a no frills delivery, with just my wristband thank you very much. Everything else is just excess and ends up in a land fill somewhere. that Coachella box is sweet, I love keeping my festival trinkets like that! I also don't believe there is anything wrong with expecting a quality experience start to finish when you're paying a company good money. This is just another drop in the bucket of errors made by the festival, and so the griping isn't so much about the package, but rather that all these things you would expect them to hold up on their end are being prolonged. That coupled with the lack of a PR response causes people to get agitated over little things like this and the continued low quality.

Wait, I just pulled up to my house, and there is entourage at my door. I walk up to the distinguished looking gentleman holding some kind of golden box. He asks my name. "Mutt", I declare in a proud and defiant belch. "Sir", he says, "I have your Sasquatch wristband, along with other assorted baubles." The clouds open up and a flock of angel-like beings descend as if from on high. The golden box seems to levitate out of the gent's hands and into mine. The lid opens, and there it is, my very own general admission Sasquatch wristband, complete with location tracker, pre-loaded lite beer tokens, and a glow in the dark thread design so I can find my hand in the dark. Best damn wristband I've ever bought, and the delivery, second to none. Plus the levitating golden box.

I don't care what they send it in -- I just don't like paying $20 for shipping and then that being what they send, when premium shipping was supposedly what that $20 shipping fee was for (and always has been for). Its bogus.

Looking at what Coachella has turned into the last three years, the fast food delivery of Live Nation and AEG and the lineups of late I'm not sure if festival bubble is bursted or if I am getting too old for this.
Maybe I'll start going to more niche curated festivals but I'm tired of how insanely generic this all has gotten. The middle card this year is really good, but honestly festivals are now just backdrops for instagram and snapchat.

2016 Coachella wristband package, for comparison. Coachella's always had the snazzy box though, and Sasquatch has always come in a crappy manila envelope. At least mine always have. I don't see what the big deal is, tbh.

It's the quality cuts, not the shipping method. I lost my cool with that rant, but it's the consistent inflation with quality taking steady dips in areas that has got my goat. I can agree that paying for first class shipping in this is a little excessive too, but when I'm already paying $400 for a complete package the 20 isn't really going to bother me. I don't need a sarcasm laden levitating gold box, but a return to form would be appreciated.

That shipping fee is bullshit. $20 for express shipping that doesn't ship until months after purchase. When I was living in a ghetto apartment in a high traffic area I was scared to death that manila envelope would never find it's way to me.

My ACL wristband last year came in basically the same exact packaging as that... As long as the content is inside I could care less. Fee is BS tho.

My wristbands came in today too, and while I didn't get the angelic concierge service that Mutt got, I did get my wristbands and that's what matters. The $20 shipping fee was always bullshit and the smaller envelope does not change that at all.
Side note: It appears they may have scrapped the cashless payment system they started last year. Not a huge loss, but it was kind of handy a couple times.

I don't see what the big deal is, tbh. I don't care how my wristband is delivered to me. The comparison was just to point out that Livenation (or Frontgate or whoever) makes an obvious point at the end of the transaction that we have to pay for this extra special express shipping, but it's pretty clearly just another cash crab. Those envelopes could have been shipped to everyone in time for the festival for under $5 each.

Honestly, this is a quality lineup. Very solid hiphop acts.

Tall Tree is in a place that doesn't even have cell service. It's fantastic. (Except when you are tying to find your friends camp that has a unicorn balloon on it and it's pouring rain, and they lost the unicorn balloon but you have no idea.)

So are the envelopes with the actual wristbands coming via ups or usps because i've seen people say that their camping passes come through usps so i don't know what to expect.
