My actual favorite part of Sasquatch this year was Pea giving me the perfect Frasier t-shirt, and the girl who stopped me on my way in the next day to say "fucking Frasier?! Really?". Yes, of course really you crazy lady.

Hot Chip were the best of the weekend for me. Followed closely by James Blake, and Jungle.
While I thoroughly enjoyed Kendrick Lamar bringing the 2 people on stage to rap, what the hell was with having to hear that song 4 times total??! Bizarre. Best decision ever to leave at that point and go to Hot Chip.

Boney King is right.
Kendrick was incredibly lame. Couldn't hold a flame to Run the Jewels.
If you think Kendrick's set was decent you should stop eating so many chips at Sasquatch.

I was 99% sober that day and it was still one of my favorite sets all weekend. Part of that may have been because I was still jacked up from RTJ, but I had a blast at Kendrick.

Kendrick was a good stopgap before Hot Chip, but not a great show...Even the big kendrick fan in our group wanted to get the hell out of there.

On the hip-hop debate: I went in with such ridiculously high expectations of Kendrick that it fell a little short... but that's all relative, he and his band are such dynamic and talented musicians that it was still super enjoyable. Even though we only got one TPAB jam and even though it was really annoying to hear the same jam multiple times, he still slayed everything he played. I watched a video back today and was blown away by his energy and skill. He was much better than RTJ in my opinion. In fact, I have to say I found RTJ to be the least interesting hip hop set of the weekend (granted I only saw 2.5 jams) but it's always really hard for me to get behind any performance without a live drummer, especially hip-hop. Although, Action Bronson didn't have a drummer either and I thought he was better than RTJ as well. Schoolboy Q really impressed me but I went in with no expectations. His drummer was dope.

Schoolboy Q was my second favorite hip hop set of 2015 behind RtJ at Coachella, which was one of the most incredible all-around live sets I've seen in my entire life. Q's set was one of the few during the weekend when I looked around and saw every single one of my friends going apeshit around me. Those are special times.

I was watching some YouTube footage of sets that I missed this year and Twenty One Pilots' music sucks, but goddam if that didn't look like one hell of a fun show. I still feel like Diarrhea Planetwas the right place for me at that point in my life, but I can see why people enjoyed it so much.
