I'll decide after everyone has bought their ticket and line-ups have come out. Then I'll rely on the awesomeness of some fellow boarder to find me a ticket at face.
Because you guyz are the best...

I knew it was you scalping those tickets all along, Wonk! The best disguise ever for a scalper is that of an extreme anti-scalper.

So should we expect bigger headliners this year since the price of 3-day tickets are just about the same as the 4 day passes were last year?

There's no way to know for sure yet, but I don't think that is necessarily the right assumption. With festival organization, there are variable (by day) and fixed (for the whole weekend) costs that Sasquatch has to pay. It's not just an increase from 4 to 6 days of variable costs with 1 weekend worth of fixed costs, but now 2 weekends worth of fixed costs that Sasquatch has to compensate for.

Eh, I'd be more inclined to believe this if we didn't have years of pricing for a 3 day Sasquatch to go off of. The tickets this year are 20-30 dollars more PER DAY than they were back when the festival was 3 days long.

When I go to the TM website and click on prices Maysquatch shows 325 but Julysquatch show $275. What up with that? Hedging the bet on the new weekend?

What's the source on those ticket costs? Haven't seen that anywhere but here so far.

If you go to the sasquatchfestival.com site and click on buy tickets it takes you to a tickemaster site that has links that lead to the live nation purchase site where you will see, Event Info | Onsale Times | Price Range | Ticket Limits , click on the bolded link and it has a little popup that lists price.

If that's the case then buying both weekends only saves $50. Doesn't seem as worth it to gamble on both now.
And if this is "Presale discount prices", what are regular prices going to be like? Last year they went up something like $25 after the lineup, so are we looking at $350 for Maysquatch? That's Coachella prices. I love Sasquatch, but it isn't even in the same league as Coachella.

The only way I see myself making it to eithersquatch this year is if I win some free tickets. That's way too much money compared to what you get for other festivals.

Aside from the venue, what really sets Sasquatch apart from any other festival that would justify the extra cost. There aren't any huge headliners, and other festivals work hard to have special stage productions, art installations, etc. I'm a little confused why the second weekend has a lower price with additional fees while the first weekend is more money with a flat fee. Logic says that there is an error with the price range, but it's hard to tell with how fucked up Live Nation is sometimes.

The venue is really what makes the difference. But after seeing the Gorge for about 10 weekends over the years, I don't feel bad for wanting to check out something new. It will always be a total blast to attend, but now seems as good of a time as any to branch out in to the wide world of other festivals.

Even though it sucks that Sasquatch is getting more expensive, one of the main benefits for me is that I don't have to travel far to it. It's still way cheaper for me to attend Sasquatch because of that.

I have had progressively more fun each year at Sasquatch. The music has been extremely well booked for my taste. This is pretty expensive and I am not sure that I will be able to pull the trigger pre-sale but I really want to make it to both weekends. It has become the end of winter/beginning of summer for me mentally since 2007 (where did Spring go?) so I don’t want to miss Maysquatch but most of my friends are only going to Julysquatch.
