Also, because of the fact that Pearl Jam are touring heavily and playing Ticket Master/Live Nation venues again, I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up on the lineup.

The New Pornographers
Dan Bejar just announced a solo tour and says that after November, Destroyer won't perform live until 2015. Neko Case wraps up a busy summer of touring in November (although she could easily pick that back up in early 2014). Carl Newman has been tweeting frequently about the recording progress on the new New Pornographers' album. They've played Sasquatch 3 times before, but not since 2010. I like them to return in 2014.

It's hardly a secret, but the real reason that Daft Punk stood up Stephen Colbert is so they could spend more time working on their Sasquatch set.

I would be surprised if ILLF.IGHTYOU is not playing next year. I know they may end up on the Cthulu and that doesn’t draw a lot of interest on this board but I would be stoked if they are there. They were interviewed by Noisey (Vice) recently and are opening up for Snoop Dogg in the near future so their popularity could be rising quickly. If I wasn’t so fucking hungover at CHBP on Sunday I would have seen them there.

YLT are so overdue for SASQUATCH it is actually disgusting. They are quintessential SASQUATCH material. My new phone autocorrects SASQUATCH to SASQUATCH for whatever reason, so we should anticipate more of that.

I haven't heard that one yet, though I rarely like any new Reznor stuff that much on the first listen. I'm usually disappointed at first for some reason, but then it always grows on me.

On first listen I don’t think I like it. A lot of people are giving him shit, and blaming a happier sound on his marriage, his side projects, sobriety, etc, etc. He experiments quite a bit with every album sounding a little different. I stopped in middle of writing this and took another listen. I have to say I like it a little better than the first listen. Sounds a little bouncy initially, but it transitions into the familiar NIN sound.

I know I am in the minority but I could do without another NIN appearance at Sasquatch. I feel that by dialing it in and going with an already established headliner isn't in the spirit of Sasquatch. However I do understand the idea that the headliners sell the tickets and NIN would sell tickets.

Don't ever compare anyone to the Beatles. There's no comparison. In terms of enduring significance, though, compare them to Nirvana. At least. Dude. I'd go see something that amused me more at this point over Nine Inch Nails, but that's because I've fucking seen them. In spite of the fact that I literally haven't listened to a single NIN album all the way through since Pretty Hate Machine. I can't stand their music, but if you're going to miss the opportunity to see them just once -- especially when that's where 75% of your ticket price went in the first place -- then basically you're just too young to know better. BREAK IT DOWN: When Paul McCartney plays a festival, there are people at other stages watching, what, like fucking of Montreal or something. There are people at other stages when the single most important living Dr. Garbanzoure in rock history is playing half a mile away. Your opinion of the Beatles doesn't mean a god damn thing when you're being that fucking ignorant of the culture that you are pretending to participate in. Just because I mentioned the Beatles does not mean I was comparing anyone's legacy to theirs. I was painting in broad strokes to make a point, which I still think I did quite well. Do not be obtuse.

Separating Chuck Mangione from his recurring role on King of the Hill and appreciating him on his own merits feels so good.
