Looks like we have some Vampire Weekend. vampireweekend.com/Dammit, I just edited them out of my predictions last night. Just saw that. I forgot to add them too :[ Also I see they're touring with Of Monsters and Men. I'm sure they will be making an appearance too. Of Monsters and Men are only joining Vampire Weekend for one show, and it's at Red Rocks. Red Rocks tends to host pretty stacked bills in order to attract attendees to make the drive over from Denver. I don't think that show is any indication that Of Monster and Men will play Sasquatch, and, considering their relatively high billing last year, I do not expect Of Monster and Men to play Sasquatch again this year, despite their rise in popularity.

Vampire Weekend has to headline then, unless we've upped the ante on headliners. I don't exactly know how to compare Pitchfork to any festival but last year they headlined at Pitchfork which generally has smaller headliners than Sasquatch (the other two were Feist and GY!BE last year). I wouldn't be shocked if they function as a co-headliner on Sunday along with the Postal Service or something. Sasquatch has a tendency to upgrade the billing of an artist from appearance to appearance. Overall, the crowd received their 2010 subheadlining spot really well, so I bet that Vampire Weekend will headline this year.

Kind of fucked up that I live outside of Oakland and I have to drive to Davis or SLO to see Postal Service. Unless they announce more dates after they're on the Sasquatch poster tonight, I bet this means they'll be at Outside Lands.

Am I missing something? How can a band with no new material, 10 years after their only album HEADLINE festivals. I like The Postal Service, but talk about the shortest headlining set ever.

Hey everyone I have Alt-J confirmed from a friend who had a meeting with one of the planners! Very cool! Planners for...Sasquatch? I like Alt-J a lot. Alt-J are playing Seattle on April 6th during an extensive US tour that ends after Coachella. They do have to come back to the US for the Governors Ball, but I don't think they'll be at Sasquatch this year. www.stgpresents.org/tickets/by-month/eventdetail/482/-/alt-j

I realize this is the wrong thread for this sort of banter, but maybe any sort of radius clause doesn't apply to this band.

I said almost the exact same thing right after they got back together and people started thinking they're going to headline festivals. I thought they had plans for a new record, but someone here said they don't. They'd have to dig into some of the individual artists' catalogs just to fill a 90 minute slot.

To be fair, the Give Up reissue is going to include two new songs, but I understand your point. For context, The Postal Service just booked a June show at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Sure, it's in Brooklyn, but that's a pretty big venue far away from home. I think they could headline Sasquatch this year.

This has been tested.

Looks like we will have some Vampire Weekend: vampireweekend.com/Dammit, I just edited them out of my predictions last night. Ooh, Ooh! I've got them down as a headliner! Of course I'm an idiot and forgot to post my predictions by the deadline but my hard copy is on the coffee table at home.

I would say the Avett Brothers are a likely addition to Sasquatch, only real evidence i have is them being there before (been a while) and them having a 6 day gap in their tour from May 25th to the 31st.
Also just for shits and that they're on the festival circuit(ish) and slightly of my own wishful thinking: STS9, Amon Tobin ISAM(late night), Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Zeds Dead, Gramatik, and Deer Tick

No PNW dates for Beyonce. Definitely headlining Sasquatch.

Solid posts all around Matt but what I was suggesting was an upgrade for them. I'm thinking of '11 when The Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse essentially co-headlined the day. I think upgrading Vampire Weekend on their own to headliner status would be a bit premature even if it's entirely possible. No PNW dates for Beyonce. Definitely headlining Sasquatch. If only.
