I'm actually pretty excited to be part of the board frenzy for the first time since 2010.

You also 'gain' time when coming from Europe to North America, so your flight basically lands at the same time that it left. FUCKING TIME ZONES, HOW DO THEY WORK??? good point, smart guy. LOL

I'm pretty excited for the lineup release party. I missed it last year and that was a mistake since it looked like a blast.

Anyone else think that the Strokes could be a headliner? I keep thinking about the possibility. I mean, as long as this new album is going to be released sometime in the first half of the year. It would be pretty sweet to see songs from Is This It live, and I like a few songs from their later material too.

I do think it's a possibility, and I'm hoping for it.

Me too, would be awesome. The only headliner-caliber bands I have any confidence in being on the lineup are Mumford & Sons and Vampire Weekend. Which kinda half sucks.

Give Vampire Weekend a chance live. They put on a show that is supremely better than the Strokes.

No no, I mean half sucks because I don't like Mumford & Sons. I saw Vampire Weekend live in the Contra era, and they were great. I would like to see them again!

Mumford and Sons are pure pointless music. God I hope they don't headline or better yet, show up.

Yeah I don't understand the fascination with them. I think it's somewhat inevitable though. I've yet to attend Sasquatch (2013 will be my first though, woohoo), but I feel like Mumford & Sons appeal greatly to the less enlightened of the festival goers, which seems to make up a fair portion.

Give Vampire Weekend a chance live. They put on a show that is supremely better than the Strokes. Having never seen the Strokes and having seen Vampire Weekend three times I would gladly take the Strokes out of the two. I just want to sing along to all the 'Is this It' and 'Room on Fire' songs and revel in nostalgia. I really don't care if they just stand there and play them without any feeling.

From a pure musical and composition point of view. You're getting the same 3 chords rearranged to you with the exact same predictable "emotional" build up on every Mumford song. I'm not gonna argue what's fun and what's not for people, but for me personally it does next to nothing musically. Please people, don't talk about '3 chord rock n' roll' as a defense to the Mumfords. It ain't the same. Not even close.

The Strokes are boring live. Gahhhh. It's so true. I actually love the Strokes and think Casablancas has an amazing ear for jamming a shit load of way above average hooks in a song, but goddamn do they stink it up live. Seen them 4 times now. Always hoping for them to "bring it" each time.
