I'd wager that Seattle's bargain bins are littered with copies of that disc.

I will be looking in Bellingham but probably the same here. By the way, I have been searching for Another Green World on vinyl ever since you recommended Eno to me and that is a difficult one to find!

Not as difficult as you might think, actually -- I just picked up a copy of Another Green World on vinyl about eight months ago. There was a really nice re-press of it that came out of (I think) Japan. They re-pressed all of Eno's albums from Warm Jets to Science, and they sound fucking great.

If I see another copy somewhere, I'll grab it for you. I still owe you for that Subterranean Modern.
Also: come to Treefort, dude.

Right on. I wish I could come to Treefort but I have some obligations already. That sounds like it is going to be a blast though.

I picked up a used CD copy of The Best of Elvis Costello and the Attractions and listened to it today. I didn't recognize too many songs. Will Elvis Costello and the Imposters be playing these songs at Sasquatch?

That's interesting. I've known, like, 'Allison' and 'The Angels Wanna Wear My Red Shoes' and 'Oliver's Army' and 'Watching the Detectives' and 'Peace, Love and Understanding' since I was five years old. Anyway, one can only hope that he'll pull at least a couple of those tunes out when he plays with the Impostors, because the shit he's recorded with the Impostors is fucking terrible.

He best be doing at least 'Watching the Detectives' since that was the first song I heard and loved of his many moons ago.

Fortunately 'Watching the Detectives' is probably the one song that most Elvis Costello fans will require out of him at every performance. It's like 'Birdhouse in Your Soul' for TMBG, or 'The Distance' for Cake. It's the reason most people are there in the first place.
Personally, I'd shit my pants for 'Oliver's Army'.

Resurrecting this thread because I want to get into Talking Heads, but don't know where to start. Start with Remain in Light for sure. Then Fear of Music and Speaking in Tongues after that.

Why does everyone say start with Remain in Light? This is false, Nick. It's arguably a 'better' album, but it's nowhere near as much fun as Fear of Music.
Personally, I think the only way to do it is start from the beginning and go straight through. There are only eight albums, and they're all great.
...except for True Stories. You can go right on ahead and skip True Stories.
