I've gone ahead and made a list of the bands I think have a good shot at playing Sasquatch. I've spent a ton of time searching other festival sites and tour dates looking for clues because i cannot wait 6 more days for the announcement! (plus it is just fun to guess...and dream).
Headliners: The Cure (Sunday), R.E.M. (Saturday or Monday), and Pearl Jam or Eddie Vedder solo??(Saturday or Monday)
Mainstage: Death Cab, Modest Mouse, Gang of Four, The Raconteurs, The Breeders, M.I.A., Cat Power (yes, I am aware she is playing Primavera Sound), My Morning Jacket, Tegan & Sara, Cold War Kids, The Cops, Jose Gonzalez, Galactic, Gogol Bordello, Band of Horses, Built to Spill, New Pornos (mayyyyyybe because Destroyer is rumoured and Neko Case has been at the last 2 fests), Rilo Kiley
Yeti stage (or whatever the small one is called): Vampire Weekend (also playing Primavera but they seem to be the "festival buzz band" of 2008), Gutter Twins, Destroyer, Shout Out Louds (i realllly hope), The Cave Singers, Jens Lekman, !!!, Fleet Foxes, Dave Bazan, 65 Days of Static, Heavenly States, The National, The Long Blondes, Josh Morrison, MGMT, Devon Williams, Siberian, Kay Kay and the Weathered Underground, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings (another one playing many fests), Dan Deacon, Battles, The Cinematic Orchestra, Manchester Orchestra, The Bees, Mark Kozelek, Yoav, The Avett Brothers.
May be a little too optimistic but (as far as I can tell) none of the afformentioned bands have any conflicts. The rumour of the Comedy Tent makes me think that there will only be two music stages this year, which also makes it easier to fill a 3 day festival with quality bands. My list is a little short on mainstage bands (and a few of my guesses may not even be considered big enough for the mainstage). Lets hope that means there are some more big surprises to come.
Finally...I don't believe we will be seeing Kanye West, NERD, Lupe Fiasco, Ben Folds (plays 4 washington shows in april), Ladyton and Datarock (won't play seattle, vancouver, sasquatch, then san francisco on consecutive nights unfortunatly), obviously no Radiohead or Jack Johnson, Iron & Wine (possibly in Europe still), Justice (in the Netherlands a few days later), New Young Pony Club (are in the UK on may 25th), The Black Lips (are in the UK till at least may 15th), The Black Keys (look like they will be on the east coast by then).
All in all, it'll be tough to beat the 2006 lineup, but by the looks of things Sasquatch! 2008 should come close.

I honestly don't see the Cops main staging it. And I really would expect Gogol Bordello to close out one of the smaller stages. Keep in mind there's two, Wookie and Yeti, one being pretty much local bands only. I'd expect Siberian, Kay Kay, The Cops and Built to Spill all to hit that stage at one point or another. Although B2S could easily play early mainstage.

Actually, there's not nearly enough local bands on that lineup. I'd expect to see Mnomena (sp), Aqudecut, Tapes n Tapes, Speaker Speaker, Man Down Medic, the winner of EMP's sound off, whoever it should be, Fall of Troy etc. I mean, not all of those, but some.
I think the comedy tent may take the place of some of the mini arcades they had. Especially with it being a tent, I can't imagine them pulling a stage for that.

Saw on "The Consequence Of Sound" message board that Weezer is rumored @ "Quatch" I know it's probably just someone throwing names cause Weezer.com has no new news on their upcoming album or touring?

Yeah, I think it is more of a guess than a solid rumor. Also, Ozomatli is going to be at Sasquatch! ozomatli.com/site.php?content=livePersonally I don't care for them, but some news nonetheless......

I looked around for info on the Beirut show, but I couldn't find it. Where did you hear about the show so I can add a link.

Ozomatli at Sasquatch 2 years in a row? Really? That's a little odd. I know Neko case did two years in a row but her first set was shortened due to the hail...

I don't think that every band touring in the greater PNW area around Memorial Day weekend is going to play...

Right - which is why I have it under "basically confirmed" and not "Confirmed" - until next week, it is all conjecture anyways. I say that if the tour dates add up, if they fit the general music stylings of Sasquatch (indie, hip hop), then it is a safe guess, but you are probably right.
I got the Beruit info from this blog - From Blown Speakers (http://itcameoutmagical.blogspot.com/) It says: Zach Condon makes his first visit to Vancouver on May 22nd when Beirut plays the Ballroom. (note: real close to Sasquatch)

Really love M83's last record a great deal. I am glad that this rumour has been (more or less) confirmed.

Also: Dustin, I saw on CoS that you doubted that Fall of Troy and The Dear Hunter seemed more like Warp Tour bands... I have to concur. I thought when I saw those names that they probably wouldn't be a good fit. Plus,

No it is not a guess at all. It is a solid rumor from a sometimes reliable source. I for one am very hesitant as well, but it is in no way a guess

so about two weeks ago i received two mysterious emails from my pollstar.com autoupdates service: the first that the flaming lips are performing in quincy, wa (aka the gorge) on 5-27 and the second that nine inch nails is performing in quincy, wa on 5-26. seems pretty likely NIN would be a headliner, the lips on the other hand tend to run second usually. also seems pretty credible since they are both sasquatch veterans and the lips are playing other festivals this summer (10,000 lakes and bonnaroo). Also Trent Reznor has been hinting at some huge announcement on march 1st (nin.com) that many believe to be either the release date for a Year zero follow-up (which would be followed by a tour) or the long over-due US year zero tour itself.
