Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine: 2010 Remaster (2x LP) They have that!? I want that. Also: Weird Floyd bootlegs and DSotM re-re-re-releases are generally the only Floyd to be found on the shelf at any record store.

How does the remaster sound? The only problem I ever had with Pretty Hate Machine was that it kind of fell victim to early-90s production techniques and ended up sounding kind of thin (especially 'Head Like a Hole'). If they managed to make it sound as burly as Downward Spiral did just a couple of years later, that $30 price tag is well worth it.

Shit, I actually haven't had a chance to hear the LP yet. Had it shipped to my girls address 100 miles away, and didn't go grab it yet. That is still my default for shipping since I got an apartment closer to work. Safer bet for me right now.

Haul for a sunny Spring day (all vinyl):
Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks - Enter the Slasher House
Harry Nilsson - Nilsson Schmilsson --Including a really cool poster of Harry Nilsson.
Banda Taurina Dirigida por el Maestro Ricardo Vidal - Tarde de Toros --Music to capture the feeling of bullfighting with crowd noises, oles, and applause recorded during an actual bullfight.
Research Recordings - The Search for Bridey Murphy (Experiment No. 1) --A recording of a woman under age regression hypnosis who recalls a past life. This is a real thing.
Dr. Annelis Hoyman - Rhythmic Rope Jumping --17 selections of instrumental piano music specifically designed to fit each Rhythmic Rope Jumping activity.
Sister Miriam Therese with the Medical Mission Sisters - Joy is like the Rain --"The songs belong first of all to Sister Miriam Therese. They were never really written. They were never planned. With her guitar, alone in the fields, on the hill, she simply sang her songs. They were hers until she gave them away, sharing them first with the eleven Medical Mission Sisters who sing them and now, with the world outside Philadelphia."
David Rose and His Orchestra Play The Stripper and Other Fun Songs for the Family --"This is the place! This is where the action is! This is where that wonderful hit, The Stripper, can be found - along with eleven other chuneful favorites."
Les Crane - Desiderata --This is apparently a spoken word recording of a poem called Desiderata by a former TV and radio personality named Les Crane. I would highly recommend reading the Wikipedia about him as it is really interesting. It came with a really amazing poster as well.
I don't normally delve into my weird miscellaneous record findings on here but I had the time and these are particularly interesting. I am developing a pretty good collection of strange vinyl oddities.

Damn I wanted to be able to afford The Long Goodbye so badly. I settled by also getting London Sessions, which I hadn't heard before. It's great! I got: LCD Soundsystem - London Sessions Four Tet - Beautiful Rewind Mount Kimbie - Cold Spring Fault Less Youth Also the "vinyl psychic" at Jackpot records was giving away records they would never sell, so I got the amazing: Burton Cummings - Burton Cummings

I really shouldn't have. They staggered the record shop opening times this morning and the first spot we hit sold out before I even got in the door so I bought all of the other records on my list. We then went down to another shop that opened at 10 AM, and the lineup was much shorter. Once I saw it, I had to by it.

Sweet haul, Cysquatch. I'm hella sad I missed out on that Pinback LP.
I missed out on RSD entirely, although I was in Everyday the night before and I picked up the Sisyphus LP.
