YES! I'm interested in OMD as well. Been a while since I've listened to them on a regular basis (early to mid 90's). To be honest I didn't even know they had an album come out in 2010 until this week. Yeah, OMD friggin' rule. I think the only reason I knew about that album was because they had a stage collapse in SXSW a few years ago. That was shitty.

Alright, I'm actually really enjoying the Lumineers. Damn I thought the conflict didn't apply to me! I think it's mostly the AlmostClaraOswald cello player's fault though.

That and the fact that alt-J didn't really blow me away put me back on the fence about the whole deal. I don't like the feeling of fence in my buttcrack.

I know, right? I'm thinking I'll catch a little of Alt-J and then head down into the pit for the Lumineers. I want to get a good spot for Jenny Lewis anyways.

Father John Misty reminds me of Jim Morrison, but the fact that he's trying to remind me of Jim Morrison kinda ruins the effect for me. That being said, I'm definitely checking out his set at Sasquatch.

Pretty much the full Wu Tang crew are performing right now with an orchestra. It is predictably awesome.

It is indeed. Nick Cave is rocking the shit as well. Even with a live stream I'm finding conflicts. I couldn't imagine being there and truly having to pick between some bands.

I was supposed to see Wu-Tang at the Gorge in 98 when they toured with RATM, but they fell out before they made it here and The Roots played instead. The Roots were cool (I had never heard of them at the time), but I wanted to see the fucking Wu-Tang Clan. 15 years later and I'm still bitter about it.

Jesus this Eric Prydz set is unbelievable, the visuals are really pretty amazing as well. Seems like he's playing more of a Cirez D/tech house set so far, but it's still pretty early.

So aside from R. Kelly and Pheonix collaborating, there wasn't really any "holy shit" moments this year at all?

The art aspects of this year, stage setups etc. are miles ahead of last year. Less performance surprises though.

Real talk. One time I went to jail for smoking the reefer. When I got out of jail, I decided to spend a night partying with a dude (whom I met in jail) named Christmas. He was obsessed with the idea of going to Tibet. We got really juiced on PBR at his apartment downtown, and helped his neighbor move a mattress into his apartment from the alley, where he was watching extremely loud pornography on his big screen TV. Christmas introduced me to his local crew, and then started throwing all these fancy pants at me and babbling about how Danny DeVito had just checked into a hotel nearby and we needed to go there immediately and pose as bellhops in order to meet him. I said something stupid like "I don't know man, I don't want to go to jail...again", to which he replied "fuck you, naysayer" and left, presumably to meet Danny DeVito. I am telling you this story because it is the biggest regret of my life.
