I'm starting to think that everyone is Know and that I am really just a loser that reads and responds to posts all day that are written by one dude that is playing the ultimate joke on me. Is this all a dream............? Know-ing is half the battle.

Got a six pack of PBR's in the fridge cooling for my return home from work. Did you buy them hot? In Canada beer is cheaper if you buy it hot. Canada sucks for that. Luckily, if you have a bucket of ice and some salt around you can have cold beer in a matter of tens of minutes!

Good thing your igloos are the perfect temperature for chilling beer, amirite??

Haha...not hot, but room temp. I did actually by them off of a shelf that was not cold. The Real Canadian Superstore liquor store is wicked cheap but none of the beer is refridgerated. But saving $4.00 is worth it if you're not drinking it right away.
Yes, our igloos are perfect for that. I just hope my dogsled doesn't run out of gas before I get home though.

Cheap and you don't need a membership. Also, the Kirkland brand vodka is actually Belvedere vodka, just in a different bottle.

When you say down I am assuming you are referring to Calgary? I do believe that there are a couple of Costco liquor stores, but I haven't been in one yet. Knowiing that vodka thing though I will seek one out.

I just say 'down' by default to anybody South of me and 'up' to anybody North of me.
The kirkland wine is also not bad, especially considering it's like $7/bottle.

Yeah the costco liquor is super cheap! And you don't need a membership. There's the one at the costco in the NW off Stoney Trail.
Although they don't take credit cards! WHAT UP WIT DAT?

I usually go to the one in Deerfoot Meadows and they don't have one. If it's that cheap I will head up to Stoney Trail.

Costco proper doesn't take credit either I don't think. Definitely not Mastercard.

Pretty sure Costco has some deal with American Express as the only credit card they take. It makes so little sense in Canada since all of 9 people have an American Express card up here.
And as far as buying liquor at Costco goes, all you Albertans suck. In BC (well Vancouver anyway) it's liquor stores or nothing. I wish Costco and Superstore had attached liquor stores here.
And since we're bragging about what we're drinking tonight; I have a case of Unibroue mixed pack in my fridge. Could get messy since 9/12 beers are over 8% alcohol.

The liquor laws in this province are SOFA KING ridiculous. The coolest movie theatre in town is called the Rio. They show awesome movies and bring in a lot of cult classics for Friday midnight showings. They also do concerts and plays there, and when they do, they get a temporary liquor license. They've just been approved for a full-time liquor license, but the law does not allow for a movie theatre to hold a liquor license, so meow they have to choose between the license or being a movie theatre. They don't even have the choice to not serve booze while running movies. It's such a bitch. www.straight.com/article-589606/vancouver/liquor-control-and-licensing-branch-clarifies-rio-theatres-licence

Man I love Portland. It's like a free for all here. Strip clubs galore, theater pubs, over 20 major breweries. I think the only law here is that you must have a good time.
