Tom Petty was one of the better concerts I've ever seen.
Like him or not, everybody wants to sing along to his songs infront of the gorge.

Well, so's long as we're rampantly speculating here...
Queens of the Stoneage are long due for their next album. Recording began in August, which means a possible Spring 2013 release...they've played the Gorge before with Cornell and Co. in 2011. Possible return to Loud Friday? This guy hopes so.
Speaking of Soundgarden, King Animal drops in November. They're PNW darlings, and would certainly give a performance bombastic enough to rival Foo Fighters'.
New Pearl Jam in 2013? People had them pinned for headlining this year, and again, a local favorite. Yup, really hoping for a Loud __day.
Band of Horses just released Mirage Rock, and MGMT is in the process of mixing their next one. 2010 2.0?
Unlikely: the Avalanches. If anything they'd do Coachella. But a man can dream. I'm liking the Daft Punk rumblings, too.
As far as hip hop, Macklemore/Lewis is probably the best one could hope for...unfortunately. I'd want Shabazz back, they slayed this year. It'd be really crazy if Kendrick Lamar came, but again, he's almost certainly going to be doing Coachella.
and so on

I've seen manatees live 15 times, while you were busy "researching" your sea creatures and "listening to their records" like a chump.

Why the fuck do we start pooping this thread in mid-October? The frequency with which noobs post the words JUST SAYIN goes through the roof.

Personally, I start getting Squatch attacks (like a panic attack but with more excitement) fairly early on in the running, and a good way to relieve them is to post in here and fantasize wildly about any little shred of lineup speculation that has even the faintest whiff of credibility.
Ever since that Foo announcement in November. Threw my whole anticipation schedule out of whack.
juuuust sayin....

I'm adding Boys Noize to my educated speculation list. From the sounds of it we're in for another Friday dance party.

I'm hoping it's Blur.

I don't even like Blur very much but that would be cool with me. Especially if they played 'On Your Own'. That's a fairly popular Blur song, right?
