They're almost a guarantee for Bonnaroo now, being just one state away on the day the festival starts. It seems like it's so much easier to guess at least one or two headliners for other festivals this year, while Sasquatch is keeping us completely in the dark...

I don't know if this is news or has been discussed, but The Cure are in the Netherlands on May 26th and Spain on the 30th. There's about a 1% chance they'd fly over to play Sasquatch in the middle of those dates. I got briefly excited that they might be there again but it's not gonna happen this time.

So this confirms Bjork, right? 2 week Gorge residency culminating Sasquatch weekend anyone?

The Cure? Really? That is an option? The fucking Cure? Maybe it was an off day but I saw them open for Aerosmith like 8ish years ago and they were awful. There are people that want to see the Cure, live? I'd rather have Creedence.

The Cure are an amazing live band. I saw them in 1996 and then again in 2008 and they were one of the tightest live bands I've ever seen. Both times. I would LOVE it if The Cure came out again.

Uhh yea dude, The Cure are probably 3rd behind Sigur Ros and Daft Punk in acts that I most want to see before they call it quits.

Oh my god. I bet it fucking was the Cult. Like'em or not, Aerosmith killed it and their opening band was horeshit, but I bet it was the Cult and not the Cure.

How can you even confuse The Cure and The Cult's sound? You would think that after hearing them play for 30 seconds you'd realize that it wasn't the Cure. Also the lack of Robert Smith's hair should have given it away.

I was young. The only things on my mind were getting drunk, seeing Aerosmith and fucking my girlfriend at the hotel after it was all done. It was at a time when I only cared about the music I cared about if you know what I mean? Its not a mistake I'd make presently.

Yes, sadly to say the Cure will not be there. They are definitely one of the best bands I have seen live. They killed it both times. The 2 bands I am most confident about being there are The Shins and The Dandy Warhols as they both have early 2012 album releases and are connected locally. Beck anyone? He's been quiet but you never know.

I think it's missing a "posted" somewhere in there. Personally I'm holding my excitement off on this new stage until we see what's on it. Animals? Cake? Wayne Coyne just ranting into a camera mike without any music?
