I would just imagine that's one of the places where a lot of the money comes from.

There was probably only 5-10% of the tickets available sold for $25. Our bay area show at Shoreline didn't even have $25 tix cuz they know it will sell out regardless.

I heard the cheap tix for the bay area show was going on sale next month? Maybe I heard wrong.

Nocturnal Wonderland Texas. How were Chase & Status? How was the overall production?

Nocturnal Wonderland Texas. I think that was in Canada. Looked pretty fun. Nocturnal Wonderland would have been the shit too though.

Nocturnal Wonderland Texas. How were Chase & Status? How was the overall production? Chase & Status were OK, I had a hard time getting into it though after Pendulum, who totally rocked it. I think we left after about 20 mins of Chase & Status to head over to Calvin Harris.

Nocturnal Wonderland Texas. How were Chase & Status? How was the overall production? I'm not sure why you think we went to Texas, but Chase & Status weren't really my thing. The production was pretty sweet. I hadn't seen anything like that in Edmonton before.

As souly mentioned though, the city and venue were losing their shit, and did what they could to shut down what they and the media maintained was a rave (it wasn't). It was bad enough that when I called my mom to catch up tonight, she was like, "oh, you were at that thing in edmonton where they had the cops and the drug dogs". Blown way out of proportion.
The actual event was pretty awesome. Probably the best EDM setup I've ever seen in Calgary / Edmonton.
My favorites:
1. Pendulum, who totally rocked it. I had a blast. Was the best act on the Fire stage all weekend. 2. A-Trak. Technically he was the most skilled DJ of the ones I saw. His scratching and mixing were flawless, and he was one of the few DJs who went old school and actually scratched during his set. 3. ATB. I had never seen ATB live before, and while it was more or less what I expected, it was the best trance set I saw this weekend. The crowd was into it and I got to dance hard.
Honorable mentions: Wolfgang Gartner Calvin Harris Sebastian Ingrosso
They were all good, although a little predictable with their set lists. They also benefitted from the best stage / lighting / visual setup on the Earth stage which made it fun.
I also have to give huge props to the crowd at the festival. I never felt packed in, always had lots of room to dance, and people were respectful. So, the exact opposite of a dubstep show at Flames Central in Calgary. That, more than anything, made the weekend for me.

One was a radio show mix, and one was the Ultra set. They didn't seem too bad. I guess I will find out.
