I just wish you were as pleasant in real life as on the boards. Honestly I do too. Actually, more to the point, I wish everyone else on the boards (and on the internet in general) were less inclined to idiocy. If people in real life made as many truly asinine declarative statements as they do around here I'd probably be just as much of an asshole to them in real life as I am here. But hey. That's why Al Gore invented the internet.

I'm with you halfway there HG- everyone online says stupid shit sometimes- yourself included- and that's just part of the way the internet works- it's so fast to reply to something that people are inclined to not think about what they are saying and how it might be interpreted by people
I especially find it a problem because so much of my sense of humor is based on timing and prosody- so online I come off as slightly more of a dick than I probably am.
New people on the boards just say what is on their mind without thinking that anything they say might be pounced upon by everyone- I think that's fair- sometimes everyone on here gets a bit out of line in trying to make other people feel stupid.

I was telling my family about the stupid cake at Sasquatch, and my mom made the worst joke. She said that the Flaming Lips should have just eaten the cake to put out their lips, and the 'Food Fighters' should have had a food fight with it. I wasn't really sure whether to laugh or not.

ha thanks know surprisingly I expected you were going to be the biggest dick in real life I had a strong feeling that HG was just a very successful board troll but a nice guy at heart You're a very pleasant fellow though. I used to be much more of an ass than I am now. In my late 20s, I started to realize there are a lot of stupid people in this world, and pointing out their stupidity doesn't exactly result in them rushing to the library. People either loved me or hated me, and there was very little middle ground. At least I know it was the morons and jackasses who didn't like me. I still have a tough time not pushing their buttons. Age and the internet has taken most of the bro out of me, so I'm much nicer IRL.

In my late 20s, I started to realize there are a lot of stupid people in this world Talk about my life story. Your practically in my head right now. Sigh. First off, don't ever quote me out of context. I've already had this beef with regulars here in the past, so you just created a cardinal sin and my biggest pet peeve. I've known there are stupid people in this world since I was six, but what I said was I learned in my late 20s it is useless pointing out their stupidity. Then you compounded your stupidity by mistakenly using "your" instead of "you're." I don't know you well enough to know if that was a typo, or if you really don't know the difference, so I'm just going to assume the latter. I make typos all the time, but I trust the regulars here know I know the difference between "there" and "their" even though I used the wrong version earlier tonight. All I know of you now is that you spent a third of your posts kissing up to Gramma right before the festival started, you quoted me out of context, and you don't know grammar. Funny how your post was in response to me being a dick, which I am clearly willing to show.

I learned that long ago as well- so I don't often bother pointing out how stupid people are- when I do it is usually cases like a certain "6 ft tall" troll- then I try to go as long as I can of mocking someone until they understand I am pointing out they are stupid
That was it's more of a game.

Your word choice is slightly unnerving.

Fair enough. I will refrain from quoting you out of context again, which I was just simply trying to relate to you, or anyone on this forum for that matter, in a friendly manor that may strike a conversation or two. It was a quote I related to and thought someone else might find interesting as well, nothing more nothing less.
Believe me or not that was a typo and I didn't even realize it. I'm not saying I have the best grammar in the world, and may even misspell a word from time to time, but it was just an oversight on my part that I didn't even realize I made.
HG seemed like a decent guy that knew his shit when it came to music that I listen to in general, and he was posting heavily around the time I joined. One huge characteristic that I noticed on this forum was how brutally honest practically every regular poster is on here, but that in turn is obviously a double-edged sword.
I'm not trying to get under anyones skin here. I joined this forum to try and find some like minded people with the same eccentric tastes as I. If quoting you out of context and making a grammar mistake or two are your biggest concerns with me then maybe I have done something right considering most newer posters don't even get that much appreciation.

Am I the only one that actually forgot Know wasn't actually Günther? I was seriously searching for his avatar. Actually when I got really loser pissed, I was only looking for avatars. At one point I was actually looking for Larry David until I realized Lumps wasn't even in Washington. This may have been my biggest mistake that weekend.
