If Pearl Jam did do squatch I could probably die happy (especially if they brought old neil young along.) Who ever thinks pearl jam is irrelevant is an idiot, plain and simple. They are living legends! Neil Young and Pearl Jam would be amazing. Separate performances and then a collaboration performance...o to dream. The Who and Pearl Jam would be spectacular too. I would love to see NIN make an appearance again, they always put on a great show. Maybe have Explosions in the sky play at sunset prior to NIN...I love dreaming Really hoping to see MURS, never seen him live before. Be fun to see Guns n Roses at Sasquatch. An Everclear reunion would be cool to see. Hopefully when they finally announce Coachella, there will be some good clues of possible performers. It's called Sasquatch! Music Festival, not SuckFest.

Seems like there was some criticism of last year's lineup due to the fact so many of the bands had played previous 'Squatches. I wouldn't mind if Arcade Fire or The Spree or The Flips played every single year. My issue with last year was truly awful bands like The Mars Volta and well-known bands like REM and The Cure which played shitty sets.

How similar have Coachella and Sasquatch's lineups been in the past? There are a lot of bands on there that I love.

I'd say there tend to be a good number of cross-overs. Not a carbon copy mind you, but some good clues.

there will be some cross over but don't expect that to mean we're getting McCartney or anything. Usually the mid-level bands are the ones that end up crossing over so I'd say it'd be good to bet on Franz, Band of Horses, yeah yeah yeahs, Tv on The Radio, etc. I'm scared and excited about this because often times the second listed band on the coachella lineup could be a headliner at sasquatch so it's possible we could get Thievery Corperation (uhg) or My Bloody Valentine (amazing).
Anyway, the only thing to really get out of the Coachella announcement is who is touring festivals this summer. A festival like Bonnaroo is gonna have a lot more crossover because it's so much bigger.

I would hope HOB or Live Nation, or whom ever puts this on, takes a look at these boards. There are some very good suggestions. I still like my list though: Girl in a Coma Pela Soundgarden (reunion would be awesome, but not holding our breath) Pearl Jam Schoolyard Heroes Justice Pride Tiger Theo and the Skyscrapers The Donnas Devotchka( it's a good bet, they'll be on the bill next year.) The B52's - would be an awesome headliner
Ghostland Observatory- could play the main stage easily opening for another headliner, yes, as long as it's dark, by the time they go on. They've headlined at ACLF before and are easily able to do it. But, yes, it has to be night time
LCD Soundsystem Dame Lady Sovereign Missy Elliott Mute Math The Knife
Siouxie - could definitely headline. She does have a new album out too. Sparta The Prodigy - they have new record coming out. Huski Meghen Toohey - California solo/indie artist Lucid Nation (SF band) The American Professionals (SF band:ex Dead Kennedy's, Gits members) The Birthday Massacre Against Me The Streets The Kills Rage Agains the Machine David Bowie Morissey Nashville Pussy The Reverend Horton Heat Prince Weezer (only cause they have started a tour and will most likely be touring through next year) The 5,6,7,8's. Remember them? The all female band from, Kill Bill the movie. The Dresden Dolls !!! Zombie Girl The Subways Flogging Molly My Bloody Valentine (Could seriously headline) Backyard Babies
I agree with some one on here that mentioned, something about not having bands that have played the previous year, play the following year. There are a slew of good acts around the world, that are ready for a festival of this magnitude. I do hope the promoters take a look at this board? But, they probably don't. >:/
I guess that's it for now. Pretty good list. imo

What they need to do is stick Ghostland on the mainstage AFTER the headliner. Give a little late night treat to groove to before returning to camp!

I'd love to see Deerhoof there. and King Khan (and his friends the Black Lips, for that matter)
And as far as I'm concerned, Arcade Fire can play there every single year.

I have gone to the last 4 Sasquatch festivals and this year for 2009 I would really like to see KINGS OF LEON. I know a whole lot of other people that would love to see them as well. They are one of the best bands out there right now. Whoever you are that is in charge of the music lineup.....get KINGS OF LEON booked asap! Plus......they are tight w/ Pearl Jam and would probably play a song together which would be amazing.
I also hope to see MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Pearl Jam, Flight of the Concords, PETER BJORN & JOHN.....love you guys. Well I could go on forever......that's a wrap.

I highly doubt Adam Zacks visits here, plus Sasquatch's headliners are booked. I believe Vampire Weekend have said they won't be there and many other US festivals, but who knows. PJ is possible. FOTC, no. They played last year and are doing two days in Seattle in May. MGMT I actually do see playing. Why can't it be late February?!

I saw Conchords twice last year (including Sasquatch). Not sure if they should do the mainstage again. Maybe Wookie.

god, we knew so much more about 2008 by this time in january. there aren't even serious rumors. when does a new sasquatch website happen? it seems like that much should be done soon, to get some hype generating. they make it look as though it isn't even happening this year.

With other festivals having such a hard time booking bands I kind of have a feeling it might go back to 2 days this year. I hope not though

With other festivals having such a hard time booking bands I kind of have a feeling it might go back to 2 days this year. I hope not though Aren't the dates already set this year?? I mean, Memorial Day Weekend isn't too hard to figure out... I doubt they'll downsize, unless they're really hurting, in which case it would probably dwindle to nothing within a few years. Once you make the jump to three days, is there really any going back?? I doubt it. I wouldn't mind repeats either, that's kinda the whole thing.... every other year they have certain bands come back. I mean, I for one would not mind at all to see The Flaming Lips again....

What about Jimmy Eat World or even AAR? I know it's a little more pop than rock, but they could put on a killer 45 minute set.

In my opinion ,Coachella line-up is not all that great , except for Saturday with Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses and TV on the Radio . If Sasquatch could get those 3 ,plus Animal Collective , the KoL and Pearl Jam or Arcade Fire , they would own it this year!
