Fantastic!! What a great time that would have been. I hope you enjoy them live later this summer Lump! But judging from that set I'm sure you will.
Going to try to catch a couple sets later...Black Mountain and The Decemberists.

Bob Boilen, you're right, I don't belong in the generation I'm in.

The Decemberists! They sound pretty decent and happy to be playing. Judging from a couple of pics on NPR it doesn't look like too many people stuck around for the rest of the night...pretty bare on the hill.

But this fucking little jazzy thing is kind of lame...but I guess during technical difficulties it beats standing around!
But now it's "The Rakes Song"! Lovely.

Yeah, now I'm really excited to see them at The 'Roo© and only the slightest bit disappointed that they won't be able to play any songs that lean too heavily on the piano or accordion.

"The Mariner's Revenge Song"...great closer. Very lively set and great segue into Wilco. Will have to check out their set tomorrow on NPR as it is getting late.
Oh, listened to Modest Mouses set earlier tonoight and it was unreal!! Great choice for a headliner.

Teehee, Robert Pollard called Chromeo shitty. Yeah it was kind of sad to see the entire main stage area flooded for Chromeo, and then once GBV got on there weren't that many people. Chromeo was great though.

I saw some pics of the main stage area during GBV fucking amazing set and it looked EMPTY!!! WTF is up with that. There wasn't even a major conflict during their set. OH WELL! At least those in attendance saw a legendary band perform.

Man, I would've killed for NPR to have done this last year. The Sasquatch set was the one Pavement show I went to that I couldn't find a recording of. So many other sets last year that've been lost in the ether too.
