Trent Reznor has stated that NIN will be teaming up with another major act that will help fill the seats (rumored to be RATM) for Amphitheater shows in the spring. That sounds promising. Could be that they split up so that each gets a headline slot for the 'squatch.
Kings of Leon seem to be a lock. I hope the promoters are thinking of them as a headliner.
Morrisey doesn't have any West Coast dates, though he'll be in the UK during May. Doesn't sound likely he'll be on the bill.
Silversun Pickups? I'd like that a lot.
Some reunions. Blur, No Doubt?
Glasvegas and White Lies are two bands I'm really high on, but would rather catch them in the clubs. Glasvegas just posted dates for their tour and will be making the West Coast stretch just before Coachella. Not sure they'll come back a month later since they'll probably be back overseas. White Lies looks to be playing SXSW and will probably follow a similar path of White Lies.

For almost two months, the Avett Brothers have been listed on Pollstar as playing in Portland Friday and Saturday of Memorial Weekend. I have not read anything else to back this up though, and the Crystal Ballroom site (where Pollstar indicates they are playing) is usually updated long before Pollstar, yet there is still no mention of the Avetts? If Pollstar is correct, I would say the Avett Brothers rumor is very likely. And I can't wait to see them, I hear they are outstanding live.
I noticed Consequence of Sound recently updated the Sasquatch dates, May 23-25 (ie, 3 days) on their festival page. I am betting it is an estimate to organize that page by dates, so we shouldn't yet assume the festival will be three days. (CoS, great website by the way)
Vast is playing in Salt Lake Saturday of Sasquatch weekend, and Seattle Monday. I don't know how long it takes to drive from Salt Lake to Seattle, but it would seem as though the Gorge is on the way, and a Sunday show might happen.

I'd say the Avett Brothers are pretty much a lock. I still think DMB is a possibility to headline a night even though I know they usually play a 3 night stand at the Gorge in the summer. They look to be heading west around the time of Sasquatch. They are also playing the New Orleans Jazz Fest.
Not to be a downer, but I thought I'd also throw out a few names of bands/artists who likely WON'T be at Sasquatch:
ATP The Fan's Strike Back - May 8-10 - Minehead, UK - Beirut - Spiritualized - The Cave Singers - Retribution Gospel Choir - HEALTH - Shearwater - The Acorn - Pink Mountaintops
The Breeders ATP Festival - May 15-17 - Minehead, UK - The Breeders - Bon Iver - Foals - Teenage Fanclub - Holy Fuck - Kimya Dawson - Pit Er Pat - Deerhunter - Gang of Four - CSS - The Soft Pack (more famously known as the Muslims)
Primavera Sound Festival - May 28-30 - Barcelona, Spain - My Bloody Valentine - Spiritualized - Damien Jurado - The Soft Pack - Gang Gang Dance
Pinkpop Festival - May 30-June 1 - The Netherlands - Depeche Mode - The Kooks - Placebo
Too bad, there are a lot of quality bands there. That being said, there have been some bands that played both Sasquatch and Primavera so any of them are technically possible, just not likely.

I recently saw Phish announced a reunion tour this summer starting in June. They are known to add surprise dates at the last minute, who thinks they might drop in on Sasquatch?
I second the hope for The Flaming Lips, although I heard they were planning to record a new album this spring.
Other bands I'd kill to see: Sigur Ros, Explosions In The Sky, Battles, Fleet Foxes, Pendulum (not likeley)

The Avetts would be a sweet addition. I hope that rumor comes to fruition. And I'd love to see The Acorn. Just because they're playing in the UK earlier in May doesn't rule them out entirely, unless they're swimming back I could see Arcade Fire coming back as a headliner. If KoL plays, though, I just don't see them in a headlining spot.

Yes, Animal Collective I could see making it. Just wait till you hear the new album if you haven't already tracked the leak down.... ((((((WWWOWWW))))) I know everyone will jump all over me for saying this.....but I think these guys are WAY over rated. But....I'm also not much of a Panda Bear fan either.

some good thoughts here but a couple things to keep in mind:
usually there are only a few repeats and very very few mainstage repeats. While it's possible they just haven't done it yet, don't expect any threepeats such as ghostland or ozomatli because they've never had a big name 3 years in a row. Don't expect a repeat headliner (as both rem and flaming lips have been mentioned). I know I would be really annoyed if it's just a repeat of past acts. Also every year people posts bands that have seattle shows right around sasquatch as a good bet and they rarely are. Also don't count on portishead (as amazing as that'd be), they rarely ever tour

Oh and I'm gonna throw out No Doubt as my bet for one of the headlining spots. I'm gonna be really disappointed if it's true but I think they're gonna be one of those big bands that hits every festival this year. My incredibly unlikely pick that I really really want to be there is the replacements as they've been mentioned as a possible reunion for coachella. Only damper on this is that their bassist has been touring with GNR for the past decade and if GNR tours they obviously will not reunite The Replacements

i will be beyond pissed if No Doubt are one of the headliners.
I came across these supposedly yet to be announced Animal Collective tour dates. If these are in fact true, it makes a Sasquatch appearance much more likely than I first anticipated.
05/27: Animal Collective at the Henry Miller Library, Big Sur 05/29: Animal Collective at The Wiltern, Los Angeles

Ah and they need to have Hercules & Love Affair, Apes & Androids, and The Slits. Now these are what dreams are made of.

Yeah, I don't think they will headline either, but I think they could lead into a headliner.

I could see Neko Case doing the three (four?)-peat, especially since she has a record coming out.
