Now you've got me morbidly curious about the WKD chant. I'll keep an ear out so I can shake HG's hand and join in.

Modest is playing for 90 minutes? Who the shit got drunk and started fucking with the schedule? Guys, guyz, guise! Fret not, it's not as bad as it may seem. Is the lineup a little weak? Yes. Most def yes, but does the Lineup have some one-of-a-kinds other fests don't? Yes. Soft Bulletin, Wilco, Guided By Voices, Black fuckin' Mountain, Wolf Parade last show, and (AND) BiCly! All backed by the most spectacular view and enjoyed with hundreds of your closest internet friends to boot! Sasquatch 2011 is gonna be okay. Seriously hang in there guyses. Did I also mention the Bassnectar gong show of the century? No? Well it's here too (and Pink Martini, but that's another story).

I said it on FB but I'll say it here too: On the schedule last year, Deadmau5' set was listed as only being an hour long too (remember how he totally psyched us out with the kill screen halfway through his set?). I'm sure Bassnectar will play longer than an hour, it is just shorter on the schedule because it has something to do with complicating the schedule template for Sunday if it lists his set as going too late.

You are right, that is what happened with deadmau5 last year. I feel so much better now. Now more people will experience the glowpocalypse so maybe this is a good thing?

Awesome, just saw this...filled out my schedule, not as many conflicts as I first thought, I only have a few I'm unsure of (any advice on which to see would be great): Sharon Von Etten vs. J Mascis: Love J Mascis when he shreds/acoustic like in this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUgoU3J-nHo, his CDs are hit and miss though....anyone know what kind of set hes going to do? Sharon Von Etten has some really catchy songs (One Day/Dont Do it) and a wonderful voice...but again, the albums I've heard is hit and miss Cold War Kids vs City and Colour: I saw Cold War Kids live....they were good, didnt blow me away or anything. There was some hate going on about City and Colour, I like several of their songs...but is there a reason why some board members dislike them? Modest Mouse vs Ratatat: Really like both of these bands (just found out about Ratatat recently), would it be worth it to stay through the whole of Modest Mouse's set?

Thank goodness! I need SOMEONE to report on this for me. And to be honest, I'd probably pick this too if I were going. Mostly just because I'll get to see Guided By Voices at the 2 other festivals I'm going to, one of them headlining. I'm not going either. SORRY BRO. (That's my new catchphrase, by the way! Hopefully it's the next WRONG KID DIED or A+!!!!) Whoops, forgot the "would be doing" sentence at the beginning. Don't worry Lumps, I have them pencilled in, since I don't really give two shits about anything else happening at that time. I will report on the extravaganza. If I don't I'll be sure to say SORRY BRO! Though this makes me slightly sad that you don't give 2 shits about GBV, I appreciate you pencilling them in and checkin' 'em out. And you should just go no matter what so you don't have to use "that phrase"

Modest Mouse vs Ratatat: Really like both of these bands (just found out about Ratatat recently), would it be worth it to stay through the whole of Modest Mouse's set? Saw Sharon a couple of times last summer. Wasn't mind-blowing or anything (it was especially weird seeing her directly AFTER Tallest Man on Earth at Pitchfork last year), but she has a great voice and great songs, so if nothing else is going on, there's no reason NOT to see her. However, for my money, I'd probably go with J Mascis. Cause it's fucking J Mascis. All I know about your second conflict is that a lot of people hate City and Colour and that my hippie-ish friends tend to like Cold War Kids. So um.... help any? Ratatat I've heard are amazing live, but I would imagine this would all depend on what part of Modest Mouse's catalog you like. First off, I've got a gut feeling (thanks Mark Mothersbaugh) that for a headlining set at Sasquatch in Washington they might reach for older material and play a lot of deep cuts, however mostly it's just been all sets from their last 2 albums with a "Dramamine" or a "Doin' the Cockroach" sprinkled in there somewhere. So, yeah, to answer your question: If they start out with the "Teeth Like God's Shoeshine", "Heart Cooks Brain", and "Convenient Parking" in that order, don't you fucking go anywhere. But if they start with "Dashboard" into "Fire It Up" into "The View" then you'll be in for a good show, but just know you could PROBABLY catch it again soon if you really wanted to.

I do enjoy City and Color on record, but he is beyond boring live. Amazing singer though.

If Isaac opened with "Teeth Like God's Shoeshine", I'd poop a little.

Is it strange that I'm looking more forward to the people and camping than the actual music? Between the lineup and weird fucking schedule I'm getting less impressed by the day. Camping is for sure going to be the highlight this year. I finally got around to listening to the entire lineup...it fucking sucks. I think I may be topping the "not remembering shit" scale this year, good thing I always have my camera with me. Man, you guys are bringing me down.

Honestly, it's camping with friends at the Gorge (the whole "Sasquatch experience" thing) that keep me buying tickets before the line-up is announced and going every year. Obviously I have a wishlist every year, but it almost doesn't matter who is playing. This is how I've thought ever since my first time, and this year will be a test of my theory.

Is there a place where we've spoken as a collective about Dj. Anjali and why the hell their troupe plays 4 days/for hours each time? I've searched the interwebz for their music and I can't find hardly anything to latch on to. Are we supposed to bring our castanets?

It has been addressed somewhere on this board, yes. Know plans to watch all 6 hours of their sets ironically. I think someone posted a youtube link at one point as well. Personally I think there will be better DJs in the campground.
