The WKD chant sure has turned into a lot of pressure for your dear ol' Horned Gramma.

Deerhunter jams a lot in their live shows, lengthening their songs. They're just mind blowing live. It's a shame that they're up against a larger act. If you haven't heard them or seen them live, listen to their set from NPR Music here: www.npr.org/2010/10/12/130386900/deerhunter-in-concert Also: Deerhunter is the main reason why I'm not leaving Monday afternoon. I missed them last time they came to town and I'm very very excited.

Switch - as a fellow Bright Eyes fan, I'm a little saddened you have no plans to see Radio Dept, Wye Oak, or Washed Out. If Pink Martini is a wildcard, I strongly recommend Wye Oak instead - there most recent album is phenomenal. I'd be surprised if you didn't like it based on your other picks. Thanks for the suggestions, Saturday is definitely my busiest day. I'll start with Radio Dept and the conflict with the Globes. I am originally from Spokane so I have to represent. Plus I know a drummer from a Seattle band and he personally told me that I have to see the Globes because he is buddies with their drummer and couldn't stop raving about how awesome he is. So that's why I made that decision. I might take your advice on the Wye Oak recommendation. I might have to split time with them and Pink Martini. I have never listened to either of them very thoroughly but I wanted to see Pink Martini just because I know that they are very talented musicians and it might be interesting. This conflict is still up in the air. I will research it further. As far as Washed Out goes....well by the time Iron and Wine is starting I will have three things on my mind. Seeing Iron and Wine, making my way up front, and BRIGHT EYES! I just can't fit Washed Out in there. I will check out Wye Oak more in-depth though. Cheers!

I'm in the exact same boat re: Pink Martini. My current plan is to hit Wolf Parade, then check out at least the first part of Jenny & Johnny (because a couple of friends told me I need to check them out) and then make a game-time decision from there.

I will be seeing them instead of Pink Martini probably. Or maybe try to see a little of both.

Okay guys, I've been reading a lot of posts and all of you have made my decision for me. Catch the whole The Flaming FUCKING Lips show and skip out of the entire Yeasayer show. I think it will be for the better
