Heyo fellow Sasquatchians!
I was wondering how to go about attaining a photo/press pass for the festival? How difficult is it? I have a credible website and have shot artists like My Morning Jacket, Fruit Bats, Vetiver, Pissed Jeans, etc. Who do I email?
Thank you for your time.

I emailed Sasquatch about that, can forward the reply back if you want. To even be considered for it, you need an editor of a paper/big blog or something to vouch for you, saying you are going there on assignment to take photos/interview people.

Ya, I knew a letter of intent from the editor of your publication was required. To be honest, I'm surprised at how much clearer they've been on how to obtain one this year. In years past it was always a bit of a mystery.

I was just approved for a press pass, but not a photo pass. Does anyone know what this means or when I will receive relevant information telling me what I'm permitted to do?

Pretty sure none of us here are too familiar with the finer points of this particular issue. The contact link Fox posted above is probably still your best bet.

I just did both of those things, but just wanted to put the question out there in case anyone on the boards had knowledge regarding the permissions of a press pass vs. a photo pass. Live Nation outsources their photo/press pass approval service through a media marketing company called Sacksco, and they aren't the nicest people in the world to deal with.

Haha, neither are we. I do wish we could help you though.

I am in the same boat,
I received two press passes, and cannot seem to find info on what restrictions they have? if i can still bring my DSLR into the venue. i've contacted both LiveNation and Skakco on this issue... Does anyone know if the passes are being mailed or if we pick them up when we arrive at the venue?
Cheers!
