I've listened to all their albums and was never really impressed. In fact I sort of hated them. But I haven't spent much time with any of them.

Friendly pretty much nailed it. Um, I have no idea what this is in reference to, but make no mistake I will take it.

i don't know if Muse is awful, but they certainly are highly-overrated, as far as I'm concerned.

I really hate when people don't like a band and they just straight out say "They're bad" or "They fucking suck". I'm not that into Muse either but saying they're awful isn't really fair.
Now saying they're overrated on the otherhand... that's a pretty fair statement.

Hey I said they're fairly awful, not that they fucking suck also saying they're overrated is just as unfair as saying they suck, both are opinions, one is just stronger

Hopefuly Know can clean this up, being that he started it. Deleting non-offensive posts isn't fair to the person who posted it. Moving comments to existing threads ruins the flow of the conversation, because the posts are out of order. Every thread has gone off topic, that's how messages boards work during the crazy time of the year. Even with ten moderators, there's a point where you to say, "shit's getting crazy, deal with it," and not over-moderate. It will get crazier over the next couple days. Mercury, free advice, you might consider updating the first post in this thread with a list of albums you have reviewed, and what page they are on. Then possibly adding a tag at the end of reviews as a reminder the archive in listed on the first post (depending on how long you intend to post the reviews on this board). For beginners to the board, it is already a daunting task tackling a ten page thread full of reviews. Then you can direct people away from the last three pages, and any other pages in the future dedicated to Muse.

Good idea there, Gunther. I'm going to do that very thing.
We can all chat away in here, it doesn't actually bother me. We'd have to remove all that stuff about CANCON and that shit was interesting as hell. An index on the front page will solve everything.
The move to the blog space is still pending the revival of my Macbook; it got pretty fucked and it's taking some time to find the pieces we need to bring it back to life. My whole mp3 library is imprisoned on that thing, and on my iPod - which can't be synced with a PC laptop without being formatted and losing everything. One of my main desires for the blog is to be able to upload my own mp3s, so with all the traffic coming in this weekend because of the lineup I decided to just leave A Record a Day here for the time being.
New piece tomorrow; I've been sick, but even more than that StormyPinkness is REALLY sick and I've been taking care of her. Thanks, everyone, for your patience.
Kissy-kissy!

I maintain you are 100% wrong. He trolled the Sasquatch main site comments, and the Sasquatch Blog at least a year before he signed up here. Haha, wow I remember that. I didn't think you did. LONG time ago.

You all make me sad inside. But that's ok. I have my muse friends, you can be my Sasquatch friends. You said yourself you're relatively new to music - I have a feeling that, while you'll always love Muse, one day you won't like their music quite as much. I'm the same way with a few nameless bands. But I also admit that I haven't tried too hard to get into Muse, and I've always been mystified by their giant fan base.

Muse is basically this generation's Rush. They're great musicians, but their music is essentially one step removed from Yngwie Malmsteen and three generations of Butt Rock.
